Its not, but it should be Lewis beat a faded Tyson, this time round we have two boxers at their peak fighting And if Wlad loses, his legacy will forever be tarnished and remembered as a heavyweight champion who came up short when a challenge presented itself
The names sold the Lewis/Tyson fight which is why it will be considered bigger. We all know Tyson was done though. Which one is more relevant would be a more appropriate question, I'd say Haye/Wlad.
to the media or casual fan, this...^ but to someone who actually knows and follows boxing, honestly i'm more excited about this fight cause it is 50/50. Tyson was completely shot and I was 100% sure Lewis would KO him, with Wlad/Haye its not set in stone who can win this...
Youre only 16? Respect you post with more maturity than many grown men on here. You are a Londoner though which obviously gives you a natural advantage :yep
Yes this is bigger than Lewis Tyson, or certainly should be.The reason being that this is a genuine fight, whereas most 'in the know', knew Tyson had no chance
Hearing people talk about it that usually aren't hardcore boxing fans. I'm visiting Germany since a good 10 weeks and nobody is talking about the fight. People here talk about ... you won't believe it ... the women's soccer championship It appears this fight isn't creating more buzz over here than any other recent Klitschko fight. Tickets are selling just as slow or fast as for Wlad - Peter II. I think it deserves more attention but that's my observation here.
I'd say, yeah. Tyson was way past it. These two are in their primes, considered the best at the moment (leaving Vitali) + the whole plot behind it.. A young arrogant black, flashy, exposive fighter arrives to destroy the two reigning brothers from an ex soviet country, supposedly boring and robotic but cultural, intelligent and honest. Genuine beef between the sides, "maturing" in the oven long, but not too long, just perfect time to pull it out. Awesome. I was far from being even half as excited about Tyson-Lewis. PS. Haters (of the era) gonna hate, but they're irrelevant, bitter, sad whiners at this point. This era is no worse than many other eras. Can't accept national diversity? Want to discredit guys like Klitschkos, Chagaev, Maskaev etc? Well, the reality is against you. Don't like it? Turn off your station. :hi:
I only get excited if a fight involves colourfull personalities, and Wlad versus Haye really has that. Besides, Wlads KO wins looks about as brutal as the ones Lewis and Tyson scored, with faces turned in to a bloody mess, and opponents sprawled on the canvas, sometimes not moving an inch. Lewis versus Tyson was just another shot big name getting a pay day for making the dominating champ look better.
Not as big, not even close. Probably a better contest in prospect. There are no excuses for this one. Best man on the night wins (unless the bent German judges services are required)
Honestly, it's not very big AT ALL in the US. Just to hardcore boxing fans. Most people can't tell the brothers apart, and identify them as that lame ass Russian, (typically they think it's one guy), and barely anybody knows David Haye.
