I would not say he's awful. Thompson looked awful. Klit looked better.

Bad question. We have to wait until his career is finished before it can be answered.
He is not an ATG yet, but he has the potential to become one.

Golota wouldn't stand a chance against Wladimir, not today's Golota or the Golota from the Bowe fights.

Wlad has achieved far more than Golota has & head to head he's better in every category.

Wlad may have achieved more, but I personally and honestly dont think he is better. Unfortunently, he cant give us a performance that would make me think otherwise as there simply are no top talents out there for him to face.

I think you could make him top 15-20 at this point, easily. I can't think of 15 guys who would continuously beat him, or have better records.

He really has beaten a LOT of top 10 guys or guys who became top 10 afterwards...

    Barrett
    Byrd x2 (IBF, WBO champ)
    TOS
    McCline
    Peter (WBC champ)
    Brewster (WBO champ)
    Ibragimov (WBO champ)
    Austin
    Brock
    Thompson

not a terrible list at all.

Wlad has better footwork, he's more fluid, has a better jab, more power, textbook lefthook off the jab and he has a better chin too.

Oh, and Wlad never quit in a fight.

What Wlad does with the pawing left hand is very similar to what Oscar does. For a prime example, look at his 12th rounds vs. Quartey and Vargas. Absolutely illegal.

At least Oscar doesn't clinch in addition to that.

However, you still have to give Wlad credit for getting off the canvas and beating Peter. That showed heart in light of previous devastating KO losses.

That said, in any other decade of heavyweights, he would've been starched. Definitely nowhere near ATG yet, much less IBHOF in my opinion.

Oh yeah, shout out to Cortez. What an idiot.

    :rofl:rofl

No he doesnt, most of the qualities you just mentioned Golota's were better, except maybe power, but for that he had better speed, and threw beautiful combinations, he had one of the best jabs of the division in his time, relentlessly pumping it in your face to set up his combos. I would take a prime Golota over todays Klitschko anyday. You need to watch some of Golota's older fights then post again. When was the last time Klitschko even had a serious opponent constantly comming at him and in his face all night long, or been in an all out war? Until he has, he is still untested.

Dont get me wrong. Wlad is a good fighter, all I am saying is that he is untested, and its hard to see how he measures up against other heavies of the past.
