I'll break it down for you guys. Wladimir Klitschko is severely one dimensional. He doesn't throw any body punches, has absolutely no inside fighting game, and pretty bad footwork these days.

Is he one dimensional and if so is he the best one dimensional heavyweight ever?

He is one dimensional in the sense that he does his damage from the outside and doesn't have much of an inside game to speak of other than holding. But that said, the one dimension is probably more than enough to beat any heavyweight out there.

I'm sure others come up who can be labeled as one dimensional - whether is is because they lack an outside or an inside game. Although some, like Wlad, have been so good with that dimension that it is still extremely hard to beat them.

    Good point

I think Ruslan Chagaev and Sultan Ibragimov have multiple dimensions. Both have one fights from the outside while boxing as well as on the inside, roughing up their opponents.

Of the 4 champions those 2 are the best at everything without a doubt. They don't have Wlad's power but they both have way better balance and a better inside game and footwork.

If you think Wladimir is 1 dimentional you've gotta admit.... the one dimention that he has is effective as ****.

probably, he's become more and more like a robot....plod forward..jab,grab and hold. He's big enough and strong enough to pull it off and keep that egg chin wrapped in cotton wool.

I dont think Wlad counts as one dimentional, theres to much depth in his skills for him to be termed that. Lets be logical here, you can't really fight on the inside when your 6'6. Its dumb and shouldnt even be attempted.

joe frazier was a one dimensional left hooker by this defination.

marciano was a one dimensional pressure fighter etc etc.

boxers use the attributes that you have and follow a gameplan.
when you are 6.6 plus , have good orthodox skills taking it to the trenches does not make sense.

when you are 5.10 with power, boxing from the outside v 6 footers also does not make sense.

thats why there are different styles in boxing.

People simultaniously say the heavyweight scene is as bad as it's ever been and Wlad is a H2H ATG. Wlad, on this scale, is untested. Don't be overly impressed by the domination over (for the level he's competing at) underwhelming opposition.

Nice job! Why would a big fighter like Wlad want to fight on the inside? Why would a short fighter like Rocky fight from the outside?

Wlad has a great jab, a great right hand, and a deadly hook. He's fast haded too. How is this one dimensional? Also his footwork is good these days.

Waldo used to show pretty solid inside fighting technique. This was before he became Waldo though. You can thank Steward for that.

Watch his destruction of Monte Barrett and Derrick Jefferson. Perfect examples.
