After Leapai's bout on 26th April Wlad has got 20 days to set the fight with Pulev for IBF. So, at the end of May we should have day in August or Sept.

:!: big maybe but lets not forget that MMA Klitschko will be on top of his game (opponent). Leaning and grabbing and shoving. I hope Leapai is having some wrestling preparation included in his camp or we can easily see Povetkin II.

    Not going to happen.

Once Arreola-Stiverne happens, a Wilder mandatory is already set up, and after that the winner has to fight the winner of Jennings-Perez.

The WBC wont be going anywhere near Wlad for at least 18 months

I have that feeling that Wlad is going to have a lot of problems against Leapai. No one really believes in Alex but I hope, for the good of boxing world, he catches somehow that glass :nut.

He just fought a tomato can. What good is it going to do Pulev fighting 22-24 fighters??

    True Rocky story here.

High level journeyman/gatekeeper, beats a top prospect who wasnt taking the game seriously, and gets a title shot.

Lots to lose for Wlad in the this fight, and little to gain aside from satisfying his WBO mandatory status.:think

I heard Leapai had Hulk Hogan in his camp to work on his wrestling skills. Wlad has degraded boxing so bad with his coward style. Even Epix is not showing his fight this time.

Shake off some rust, make back all the money he just paid Helenius, Sprott etc for sparring.

    Guy's got to eat Derrick.

You haul logs......well, if you deadhead up 95 from Miami to Houton ME you probably get paid less than when you got a load, but you still make the trip cuz you got expenses.

Nothing wrong with taking a break even fight.....he wanted Elijah McCall....likely a plan to get Ollie after his loss to Wlad.

Ollie refuses 10K + expenses and left Pulev with >10 days to find another opponent.:think

lol here we are in April 2014 and still Pulev is being avoided.

We'll see. If Wlad doesn't fight Pulev this summer, then he might vacate. There will be much more money in fighting the Chisora/Fury winner or the new WBC titlist. So why risk it when easier and bigger-money fights are available?
