Agreed. What Wladimir really needs to do is to beat a series of dangerous opponents, unfortunately there aren't too many of those right now in the heavyweight division.

These are the types of posts that really expose ignorance.

    If Shaq wasn't 7 feet?

    If PBF wasn't fast?

I mean just brutal, brutal ignorance.

... I thought you were done with me...tell your celly I said hi.

P4P is a theoretical world of equal pyhsical attributes (but not physical skills), without regard to weight...if you want to go along with the tide of people making it into something else, go ahead...but you are the one showing ignorance, at your lack of wisdom with regard to P4P.

If PBF,wasn't fast...???...that really showed how mentally challenged you are...

Why would you factor out Floyd's speed...???

But that's what makes it POUND FOR POUND.

Obviously, you have trouble understanding the English language. If you don't agree with the concept of pound for pound, then so be it, but you can't just pretend it's something else.

I got Wlad at 18 on my P4P, the guy fights too scared to ever be put in the top 10, look at who his competition is, Thompson and Iggy, one guy never fought a good oppenent his whole career, the others claim to fame is beating washed up Holyfield and asthmatic Briggs, as well as having a draw with Klit's 2nd round knockout victim Ray Austin.

Wlad needs to fight guys like Valuev, Povetkin, Haye, and Peter again to impress me, if he fights and beats those guys, he will earn a spot in my top 10.

No he is not in there, and why should he be? And this post should all but prove it....

Firstly does his resume even compare? Its BIG WINS which get you into the P4P lists, and embarrasing losses which get you out. Wlad has no great wins and numerous embarrasing losses. I would say on a P4P scale, his resume is equal to Margarito, minus the Cotto win OBV. A few bad losses, a few good/solid wins.

More importantly, If Wlad was 6 foot and a 147 welter, would he be any better than a chinnier Kermit Cintron? You have to remember that ALWAYS (or nearly) has a massive height and weight advantage, which is clearly a main reason for his success. He has a great reach advantage, which is why his jab (his main weapon) works so well, and he is much taller and stronger tahn 90% of his HW opponents.

If he was the same size as Margarito, he would get blitzed. Same with loads of top fighters, he is just so chinny and vulnerable that if his size advantage
is taken away, he can't prevail. Could anybody see a 160 pound 5-11 wlad last more than 6 rounds with Kelly Pavlik? His chin would get smashed.

P4P, the very essence of what the phrase means, Wlad is simply not as good. In a division like WW or LW, without his great physical advantages, Wlad would not be able to hang with the top fighters. If anybody thinks he could then you are badly delusioned.

I say he is top 17. No higher.

No it isn't. At HW, the fighters can be huge, and always have massive size advantages.

POUND FOR POUND dumbass. Read the phrase slowly and try to understand.

The whole point of the term is to illusrate that, with SIZE taken out of the equation, which fighters are better. That was a severe shot in the foot I'm afraid.

Say IZZY Vasquez and WLAD were the same size...:rofl

WLAD is a very formidable HW, but he doesn't rate P4P...

...KLIT-ites shouldn't get their feelings hurt. Most guys on the planet would rather be HW Champion of the World, than #1 P4P....I know I would.

Exactly. It is mind blowing that the Klitittes have him in top 10. Based on what exactly?

    Resume   ?

Not to blow my own trumpet, but I think the argument you and I both made PROVES that he aint there. I am looking forward to a response to them from his worshippers, though fear it unlikely.

Wlad doesn't belong at all on any pound 4 pound list. People who are listing his accomplishments don't understand the meaning of p4p.

P4P lists are about who would win a fight if both fighters are the same size. Its really about a skillset. Wlad would clearly be in trouble here. He doesn't have an inside game at all, instead he just clenchs. He clearly relies on his size as a big part of his game. P4P, that factor wouldn't exist. It wouldn't work as well against someone his own size with skills.

If your making a list of top 10 fighters based on their recent accomplishments, he belongs. p4p he has no business.

They must have thought P4P stood for Professors for Pugilism, in which case the Ukranian Phd.s would rate.
