I don't think Gatti or Braddock or several others should be in the HOF either. Gatti is in there for his amazing entertainment while fighting. Braddock is is due to the glorification of the HW lineage and his then possibly GOAT upset win.
One guy who I would be interested if he could get in is Iran Barkley. His upset win over Thomas Hearns and his great fight of the year with Duran in 1989,and then fighting everyone he could means something, although he did lose to everyone also. I am not sure if he was even nominated to be elected into the Hall. He might have been. I doubt he would make it in.
His best wins are (in no order): Cory Spinks II Junior Witter Lucas Matthysse Terron Millett DeMarcus Corley Micky Ward Vernon Paris Kaizer Mabuza Is that a HOF'er? His losses are more defining than his wins. He has all of his 7 defeats among the 10 best opponents he fought.
With the HOF standards you never quite know... But no, I don't think he should get in. Good case to be brought up though. And if I ran the HOF, it'd be half the size it is now, just throwing that out there (I feel that way about all pro sports, though).
I would say no to Iran Barkley also. Good fighter and exciting, but his claim to fame is Thomas Hearns and that fluke punch. Not sure that is enough. I was surprised that Gatti got into the Hall of Fame last year. Virgil Hill going in makes more sense since he had something like 25 title defenses in 4 reigns in two weight classes.
Definitely not. His resume shows that he isn't and never was elite. I have to laugh when people give him a chance against Garcia.
