so judah may be past his best a bit, but he's still slick, very skilled, has power, is on a winning run and is a southpaw to boot.
if khan beats him, he's gotta be the best name on khans record to date.
    what do you think?

No, barrera surpasses any of khans opponents so far and including judah. Barrera is atg whereas judah is a hof'er who just never fulfilled his true destiny. Just came up short due to his mental fragility.

However Judah poses a bigger challenge tonight than barerra did, as he is not shot and bloated and is coming off a good win. Khan can win this 'easily' if he fights at long range and throws accurately. I.e kotelnik tactics and gameplan but keep moving to the left to negate Judah's left hook. Can see zab getting stopped on cuts for some reason...

I went to the Khan Barrera weigh in was stood with Barreras family. Was good to get a glimpse of the legend but what happened in the ring that night was appalling dragging him 4 rounds to avoid the NC then stopping the fight straight after, way to treat a legend of the sport.

Khan gets starched by Prescott and his comeback against Oisin ***an (who i hear you say) was on ppv! then a bloated and shot Barerra was drafted in and thw card was feeble and was stopped after 4 if i remember correctly, it was started by a clash of heads i think, that too cost £15.

Now for me I cant see how Khan v Judah can cost the same as Khan v ***an. Tonights fight is a unification fight and deserving somewhat of a ppv tag. How the **** can Khan coming back from ko1 and fighting a nobody in ***an cost the same as Khan v Judah? how can that be? titles werent even on the line that night yet tonight there are 2, and Judah is a damn sight better an opponent that ***an would you not agree?

Frank mugs the fans time after ******* time, only last week at the echo they bumped up the £40 tickets upto £50 cos all £50 tickets were sold out. Just awful to know a figurehead of the sport has such a lack of respect to the paying fans.

It's pretty simple. You are making the mistake of thinking quality is the deciding factor as to whether something is PPV. The deciding factor is whether enough people will buy it.

Khan vs ***in and Khan vs Barrera was PPV for the simple reason that they knew beforehand based on past events that it would make enough buys, and they did.

As you can see Khan isn't on SKY box office tonight because they know not enough people will buy it.

Its a toss up between Kotelnik,Maidana and Judah. Paulie was alright but lets be honest he was never going to beat Khan, he can't hurt a fly.

Barrera as a name as Gaz says but i believe this is Khan's most dangerous fight because Judah isn't coming off back of a short retirement coming up a weight and shot. He's clearly not as good as he once was but may cause Khan problems. Presents far more problems stylistically then Kotelnik. Has better all round ability then Maidana and Malignaggi.

Its pretty simple, you obviously dont realise Khan is getting more doh of primetime. And yes it is about quality. More folk would pay to watch Man Utd against Liverpool/Chelsea/City/Arsenal than them v Wigan/Bolton/Middlesboro. Quite simply frank had invested in khan he had to go ppv with Khan cos Khan was on £££ridiculous£££ a fight and had to go ppv to make it pay.

Frank mugs folks off, just look at burns v cook last saturday! that was never a proper title fight and what unfolded was ****ing criminal...

Yeah he probably is. I don't buy into Judah's revival much though. He's KO'd a few average guys and IMO lost to Matthysse.

Still he should be a tough opponent.

Indeed but as I said Khan dominates him totally if he fights like he did against kotelnik, those fast hands from far away are murder for an old judah to deal with imo...

The background to the Barrera fight is possibly worse from the point of view you are mentioning, although it's actually good matchmaking.

FW saw Barrera fighting Sammy Ventura in China.. Barrera shot to hell. Then in a casual conversation with Don King he realised they could make the fight with Khan, with the majority of the public unaware of Barrera's appalling state he would be ripe for the taking. Phoned Freddie, he agreed.

However.. anyone who thinks FW wanted the fight stopped when it did is deluded.
The whole purpose of the fight was Khan exploiting the fact Barrera was shot to hell and to annihilate him in a manner which would get some major press. The cuts stopped that happening. But it was effectively a certain victory for Khan.
