You obviously skipped a few lessons at school.

More people would like to go see Man Utd against Liverpool/Chelsea/City/Arsensal than the others you mentioned yes... how precisely does that have anything to do with what we are talking about?

    Good post :good

Khan would of won wide on points anyway (probably as you mean), I know that pal. I'm just saying that it was a terrible fight anyway and was made purely off the fact Barerra was shot as you say which is criminal!

I love Mitchell but it was good to see katsidis hammer him cos frank had misgauged him totally and thought he was on the slide. Got it completely wrong  and set the kid back, its a testament to mitchell for the way he bounced back in fairness.

Anyway I have hijacked this thread, sorry, so back to thread. Judah is a massive name in boxing as we all know so I think this will go down as somewhat of a career defining win (should he) if it is competitive at least...

Cos you made a point about value, hence the fact the footie teams about value. Fans wanna see equal fights between good fighters. Khan v ***an is not what the fans wanted hence the very low ppv numbers. Oh and I went to a grammar school pal so you need not come here with dumb insults :good

Im also intrigued how you can say I skipped lessons based on my post when you make a wholly inaccurate assumption that cards are bought on whether they sell or not. Casual fans would of felt burnt after seeing Khan starched in rd1 by Prescott so it is doubtful they would be rushing to but Khan v ***an isn't it. A rematch would of been a better seller.

Although it seems how you mention, it is misleading.

You are correct in that people are more likely to pay for something they consider to be a quality fight. However that doesn't mean to say people won't pay for something which is a bag of **** and because PPV's are determined by estimations of how many buys something will get and not the quality of it.. it means you can often get fights which are in reality terrible.. being on PPV.

It happens because even with a **** fight, you can still hype the uncertainty.

Evidence being Khan Salita, Khan ***in, Haye Harrison and so on..

Totally, but you seem to miss the point. This isn't a proven business model because it fundamentally is flawed by thinking paying customers are a bottomless pit. Once they have been rinsed once they wont eager to be rinsed again.

You'd think so.. but they don't. This has been going on years now.

The reality is that it works because those that matter, the casual fans very quickly forget. You and many others may hold a grudge, or know beforehand through knowledge of the sport that something is terrible but most of the casuals believe all the hype you give them, all the stories in the press. That's who we aim at, they take it in, forgetting about the last farse.. and buy again.

They all fully believed Haye was certain to win against Klit.. just as Harrison had a chance...

Due to his style and power I think Maidana was the hardest.

Who are you? that is meant in a polite manner btw :good You work for sky or summat? If you do, tell nelson he is ****ing clueless and to stop be biased/nuthugging fighters and tell adam smith he is doing a a good job but it would be even better if they would just get a hbo/showtime contract and just stream it live via there channels. Not everything has to be glitz and glamour by having sky's team there.

No I don't work for them, I mean't we as in the Industry.

The "nuthugging" is a complicated thing really. They need to be on good terms with whoever is around to get good access to them. If they spoke their mind they wouldn't always find fighters and trainers so willing to give them time.

I would say yes, at this moment in time.

MAB is the best name, but we all know that fight should have been a no contest.
