I think he's a little bit better. Judging based on their records and their respective fights against Pavlik.

I'm bringing this up because people were claiming Pascal was ducking Miranda, and now he is fighting someone who is arguably as good or maybe even better.

imo Zuniga just hasn't gotten the same exposure as Miranda, because instead of padding his record en route to a title shot, he took huge challenges early on and lost

    thoughts?

Zuniga is a hell of a lot better than people around here give him credit for. Miranda has more one punch KO type power, but Zuniga has plenty himself. Zuniga has insane stamina and work rate too.

Indeed. The one he dropped Pav with early in their fight, Pav slid like 3 feet across the ring on his ass. IMO, very few fighters period would have even gotten up from that.

Pavlik didn't even look hurt. There is no quit in Pavlik. He goes down and he's like "ok back to business"

But he definately has those chicken legs

Yeah, he popped right up. The chicken legs hadn't come to my attention as much until the Taylor fight though. When his equilibrium was screwed, some shorter legs would have helped him a ton.:yep

    Did you catch Zuniga/ Oganov??

IMO zuniga is a good tough gatekeeper of a fighter, never going to be anything more, while miranda just has a little more of everything and will be a perennial contender.

so miranda better fighter and if they both ever met i beleive miranda would win.

    i wayched zuniga v oganov.

IMO zuniga had his number after the first round but oganov must have met 25 road sweepers because in my first look at him , he was a small /musclebound novice of a fighter with obvious power, but obvious lack of talent in how to deliver it.

I personally think miranda is better. Even though miranda got beat down by pavlik worse than zuniga, I think edison will fare much better in the rematch. Miranda has beaten much better competitiion too. Also, edison's right hand is far superior to zuniga's right hand in comparison to zuniga's left to edison's left. Zuniga seems better on his feet. In the end I have a full colombian background so I love them both and will root for them both no matter what.

Yup, it was. Oganov was coming in with 28 W's and 28 KO's, although the opposition was quite questionable. Zuniga used insane workrate and movement to totally nullify anything Oganov tried, and eventually KO'd him in the 8th or 9th if memory serves me correct.

BigEddie, I had read your posts about when you spent time in Columbia and found them very interesting. I can't say I have ever been there, but like yourself I like both Miranda and Zuniga very much. They are both very good fighters, but both have different strengths/weaknesses. If I had to take a pick if they were fighting each other, I would say Miranda, probably.

at middle, I think zuniga is a much better fighter than Miranda. Not only can he punch , he has a great workrate and as he proved against oganov he can fight off the backfoot as well.

Yeah that place is very interesting to say the least. It is one of the few places on earth that has the most diverse landscape. In other words, you got the carribean-type coastal cities, amazon jungles, andes mountains, forest landscapes. Its something else. It's a shame they have the problems with the guerrila forces however, because in some places you would swear it is just like the united states. But the crazy thing is, you drive about 20 minutes from those places and all of a sudden you are in somolia, and then back to modern civilization again. the difference between the wealthy and the poor is very wide indeed. I would tell people to go visit but honestly dont risk it. People get kidnapped all the time there, escpecially if you are not from there. I had the benefit of all my family there making sure I was ok, but there is something disconserning about my family memebers having armed bodygaurds with them. The only real somewhat safe tourist spot is in Cartegena.
