    Round 2

Pendarvis and Carbonell both warned for hitting & holding, neck cranking, and rabbit punches. Necessary intervention as it was getting pretty chippy in there. Pendarvis is darting in low under the slow Carbonell right jab and tapping on the body until Carbonell leans his weight down on him to clinch and stall. Carbonell with a right hook on the way into another clinch. Pendarvis getting thrown into headlocks after nearly every punching exchange, with Carbonell's long arms just sort of naturally coming to rest over his neck. Body jabs by Carbonell. Pendarvis escapes from the ropes and slaps up high with a right hook, grazing.

    10-9 Carbonell, close again

    20-18 Carbonell

Haynesworth says the only way Pendarvis can possibly keep this close is to make it ugly. Even for all his speed and skill - that is true.

    Round 3

Pendarvis is darting in and scoring as much as he can until grabbed. Carbonell is given a very stern warning for hitting on the break. Pendarvis is then warned for his own violations. The next foul probably gets a point docked. Carbonell fires a few 1-2-3 combos and Pendarvis jumps in below them attempting to snatch his arms over Carbonell's waist and hang on. Most of the shots miss but a right hook catches Pendarvis.

    10-9 Carbonell

    30-27 Carbonell

    Round 4

Pendarvis is extending a long right jab down into the face of Pendarvis at range. Able to pot shot in between long stretches of posing and watching. Pendarvis only really able to get a few incidental shots in up close during the clinch. 1-2 by Carbonell. Pendarvis reaches in with a jab and is brushed lightly with a couple of Carbonell's while pulling out.

    10-9 Carbonell

    40-36 Carbonell

    Round 5

Pendarvis is getting frozen in place blocking the Carbonell jab, and then absorbing the big looping left that follows up and bangs into his gloves. Lots of clinching. Carbonell is popping a jab into the guard, playing pattycake, and then ripping a looping left into the side of Pendarvis' head. Pendarvis still standing in front of Carbonell and tossing his own hard shots up at him, headhunting, maintaining his position.

    10-9 Carbonell

    50-45 Carbonell

    Round 6

Pendarvis and Carbonell get to it, both throwing hard shots on the center logo - and Pendarvis goes down. Ruled a slip, maybe the logo was slippery, borderline call. They wrestle and the ref orders a break and says to watch the heads. They are re-entangled moments later. Pendarvis with some right hooks jumping in. Carbonell is pushing off with the jab, creating space, having a look down at Pendarvis. Big left uppercut by Carbonell, just misses. Pendarvis keeps tossing shoeshines up top and getting smacked back with a long right hook to his temple. Carbonell stands up tall and twists in place, slipping a few shots, and Pendarvis hacks up at him with a right.

    10-9 Carbonell

    60-54 Carbonell

Isaac "The Process" Carbonell Portal entered the favorite at 6-0 and eight years the younger man, but this was his first time stepping in a ring in 27 months.

Pendarvis even now was perhaps a bit of a risky choice for a rust-shaker, as he was in good enough form just a year ago to snatch the cherry of Ghanaian banger Bastie Samir.

A happy 93rd to so-called GOAT promoter, Don King?! :dunno

    GTFOH...

She also announces that he's going to be promoting Norair Mikaeljan (Noel Gevor) vs. Ryan Rozicki for the WBC cruiserweight title next month, which I'm pretty sure was already public knowledge.

OMG it gets worse. So, so much worse.

There's a tribute rap basically glazing DK and his entire career, complete with an audio loop of his catchphrase.

Can you lay claim to even greater fame... :dancer2:

This is, rather incredibly, the actual main event - not a walkout bout.

Granted, the nineteen year old 2-0 (2) local fave Ellis is from just 28 minutes up the road in Pleasant View, TN - but her opponent Sarah "Switch Kick" Click is 1-7-1 in pro boxing (and has a wealth of other combat sports experience but has pretty much only ever lost in MMA, Muay Thai, and bareknuckle). Unjustifiable to put this low level can crushing above Carbonell vs. Pendarvis, tbh.
