Alfie Clegg and Josh Anderson just finished what appeared to be a donnybrook of a four-round show opener at featherweight.

The contest is scored by referee Kieran McCann in Clegg's favor, 38-37, allowing the Surrey man to remain undefeated at 2-0. He was dropped by a right hook from Anderson (now 0-3) in the 1st.

 

Naylor Ball vs. Andre Pesce, 4 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Each man has seven victories; difference is Ball has only lost once (to deluxe journeyman Kamil Sokolowski) while the burly Italian has fifteen losses and three draws.

 

Holy ****, Pesce down on the very first punch!

He beats the count at nine but is clubbed down again moments later by a right hand. Among the soonest knockdowns I can remember seeing.

AGAIN he beats the count between 8 and 9.

Ball lays in more power shots and finishes the job at just over a minute in.

Idris Virgo vs. Adam Trenado Makhdouj, 8 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

The Bodybreaker showed a decent dig downstairs (as you'd expect from the moniker) as well as some clever escapes defensively, and nice backfoot check hooks up top - but the lean, tall Spaniard crowded him pretty effectively and kept a jab in his face. Tight round.

 

The commentators (and Virgo's own corner) of a mind that he lost that first one.

 

Much improved second by Virgo, doubling up on power shots.
