IBO welterweight champion Isaac Hlatshwayo is heading for the biggest pay day of his career. He is scheduled to take on Englishman Ricky Hatton in Manchester in May. Hatton, the reigning IBO junior welterweight champion, is regarded as one of the best British boxers of all time. The only blemish on his career is the knock-out defeat he suffered at the hands of the unbeaten WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Junior two months ago. Hlatshwayo is keen to fight Hatton in the junior welterweight or welterweight division. Several other local boxers will be involved in big fights within the next few months. IBO featherweight champion Thomas Mashaba will defend his crown against Mexican Christobal Cruz in the US next month. Former Olympian and three-time world champion Hawk Makepula will fight for the vacant IBO junior bantamweight title at Carnival City in April

No. It's not that bad a comeback fight. It's not great, by any means. But more popular fighters have done far worse.
