People seem to forget, the only reason why Roach performed so well against Stank, is because Stank is a safety first low output fighter. So it became a tactical battle between two low output counter punchers, with Roach consistently beating him to the punch. But against volume punchers, he always suffers. He looked average against and arguably lost to Rene Alvarado, and barely beat Hector Garcia. This is a new weight division that Cruz has been acclimated to, against perhaps the most relentless swarmer at 140 aside from Matias.
