    Cruz knifing out a hard high jab coming forward. Roach dances into the ropes and they fall into a sloppy clinch. Ref with the quick break-up. Cruz whips some hooks into the midsection and Roach pushes down on him. Ref inexplicably warns Cruz to keep his punches up (all of those were clean). Roach now gliding to his left, jab flowing. Awkward clinch where Cruz's fist is trapped in Roach's armpit, ref has a hard time separating them for a moment. Cruz spams hooks into the belly and chin of Roach, and gets held & smothered. Cruz with a BIG LEFT HOOK as they separate. ROACH ROCKED, REELING BACKWARDS, GLOVE BRUSHED THE CANVAS! Does almost a cartwheel before being given a count. Cruz attacks again, and Roach holds. Cruz hops excitedly in place to show the ref he isn't the one clinching, and the ref yells at Cruz. Brilliant.
