    I'm probably in the minority here, but I believe Ramirez has the potential to emerge as the best featherweight in the world.

    On a related note, what do you think of up and coming British featherweight Nick Ball??

    Not yet had the pleasure. I'm fairly well behind on up and coming prospects, especially the Brits (as most of those cards are on Saturday afternoons my time, when I'm with Lil Butt - or Friday afternoons when more often than not I'm working)

    It seems the only really high profile card he fought on so far was Fury vs. Whyte, and I missed that one.

    What's the skinny?

    Yeah, I watched Ball against some second tier Mexican opponent and he destroyed the kid. Ball appears to have "plus" level athleticism (hand & foot speed), seemingly good power, and some promising creativity on offense. We'll learn whether his power is in fact genuine as his competition improves .

    I agree that, like most young fighters, his craft could use additional refinement. I'm curious to see if he can box effectively enough to deliver those power shots when he cannot simply overwhelm an opponent physically/athletically.

    Nevertheless I like his physical tools more than some of the other UK feathers (Warrington, Conlan et al) at or near world level.
