I'd like to see Smith/Lopez on Friday Night Fights. Lopez wins this, and Ishe has a little bit of a name. David might get a bit of a bump out of it. I just think it sucks that a guy ranked in the top 10 at 160 by Ring Magazine can't get decent fights.
Smith was asking Golden Boy to make the fights with Lopez or Golovkin so maybe David is still with Oscar. Other good fight if that is case would be Lopez vs Golovkin as I want Gannady fight a really tough guy like Lopez too see if he is the real thing:hat
One thing I think we know for sure about Lopez at this point is that if you beat him, you're the real deal.
Hope this is true about smith and lopez, its a good fight for david, ishe is still a decent name and contender. But lopez should be fighting for world titles!! people call paul williams a freak of nature! what about david lopez a 6 foot 2 mexican southpaw who once boxed as high as cruserweight but is now a lightmiddleweight
Lopez is only ranked in the top 10 because middle is a wasteland right now. but, lopez is a crude tough guy and nothing more. Golo, sturm, pirog, hell even sylvester all beat him. Ishe/lopez should happen to determine which one of these guys gets to fight a contender. Ishe had his chance at golo, so he should keep GG's name out of his mouth.
Lopez has a couple of prime years left, I hope he makes the best of it. Smith/Lopez would be a great addition to 2010!
Sorry pal, but an opinion that comes from a guy who is "100% certain" that Yuri Foreman can outbox Floyd Mayweather means **** all. Please log off and never come back.
Just admit you've never seen him fight. Lopez is definitely not a gifted boxer but he has some solid boxing skills.
The statment about Lopez being "crude" was beyond ridiculous. David is very smooth, throws nice combos, fights going forward or off the back foot, and in his last fight he looked like he was happily doing just enough to win rounds without spending more of himself than he needed to. Those are hardly the marks of a "crude tough guy."
