Boy I'm betting big money on Smith. He is way to tricky for green Jacobs. Plus Smith is DiBella fighter and this bout is on HBO.

    +475 is almost 5 to 1
which is ridiculous for a boxer as skilled as ishe is
i mean jacobs is great as well but at worst i think ishe should be 5 to 2

It's a trap dude, an HBO/Golden Boy card. Jacobs is an exciting and marketable young prospect, Smith is low-volume and unattractive to the general fan. NO WAY Smith gets the decision. Especially after Ortiz losing and Kirkland going to jail. Watch as Lederman cluelessly scores every round for Jabobs based on "effective aggression" despite being countered to pieces. This guy is a bozo.

Smith needs a KO and he won't get it. I agree it is a great line, but I can't imagine it winning. This is coming from the same guy who bet Collazo BIG +475 to beat HBO's boy Andre Berto. Not to mention other network/hometown losses I've had recently: Marquez vs Pac 2 +200, Griffin vs Lacy in Florida +550, DeMarcus Corley over some undefeated guy in his hometown +350, whats-his-face to beat Sturm in Germany +400, Holyfield over Valuev by pts in Germany +1200.

We all saw how those worked out.

Why so sure about that ? Jacobs chin aint checked yet plus Smith is good body puncher.

Smith's best chance of winning is Jacobs injuring himself. Jacobs is way bigger than Smith, has a way higher output than smith, is way flashier than Smith, is way quicker than Smith and has more power than Smith. Maybe Smith could score a knockout, but Jacobs' chin isn't half bad. Smith might make it ugly or keep it close, but I see little chance of him winning unless he can let his hands go for once.

Only down once as an amateur or a pro (dropped by Shawn Porter as an amateur), and he's beaten a few guys who are naturally SMWs who have decent KO ratios. Ishe is a light hitting JMW. I don't see it happening.

Smith is smaller with lower output. Look at his record, he's not a KO guy. He caught Wolak all night. Went the distance in high last fight against an 11-8 opponent, at 164lbs! He's always ready to lose b/c of his terrible output.

The guy he knocked out to the body was a bum. He might catch Jacobs but Smith isn't a finisher and doesn't pressure. He'll lose a decision.

i see your point, ishe wins and loses fights by close decisions (ie losses v sechew powell and joel julio, win v that polish hype job) and he ain't gonna get a decision against the next hbo pre-annointed star

but still 5 to 1 is tasty as hell, it's low risk high reward and you're guaranteed to get a sweat, i don't think jacobs is gonna go in and totally blast him out of there or outclass him

A good bet is a winning bet and Ishe Smith is not going to beat danny jacobs, danny is to quick for him and has power and ring smarts , Ishe was not a hard hitter when he was fighting at a lighter weight class
and know he is moving up in weight class the math not adding up for
    Smith to KO Jacobs.

Smith has never been down... If Danny can get a clear cut decision, no controversy, that will do wonders for Jacobs... Ishe is a good boxer, tricky, and can counter well... If Ishe can open up with his offense a little bit like he did against the polish kid, he could pull off the upset... Jacobs is still young, so he can get this guy to make some young, dumb mistakes....

Save your money, Smith is seasoned, but this kid Jacobs is for real.
