Craziest story this year, former Japanese Light Middleweight champion Nobuhiro Ishida is heading all the way north to Heavyweight!
Good move by Ishida, would love to see him versus Deontay Wilder. If he could KO Wilder in 1 round too then he would go down in history amongst Boxing fans.
Ishida knocked Kirkland out in the very first round. Paul Williams could not hurt Ishida. Golovkin was not only the first to knock Ishida down, but he was the first to knock Ishida out. Golovkin knocked Ishida through the ropes and out cold in the 3rd round. Ishida is tall enough for heavyweight division, but can he punch hard enough at that weight. Will the weight help him?
So can we assume he became morbidly obese in the last couple of months? Could very well work, the WBC belt is up for grabs.
Tc isn't telling a joke, Ishida fights a heavyweight sparring bout on January 11th to convince the JBC to give him a ranking there. He appears to want a national title fight with Kyotaro Fujimoto.
Can't we just have a fucking source on that? Why even bother to create a thread without a freaking link?
