Honestly in a fight where punches landed and punch% is so close, a 11-1 card is ridiculous

Ok, I know what some of you will say now: 'if it was so close, couldn't you hypothetically score each round for RB by just a bit'

Well, no. There were disparities in rounds, where DS outlanded RB by quite a big, and even if there weren't, it's very suspect to go with a certain fighter for each close round. I smell corruption.

It's easy joining in the witch hunt, but I like to look at things from the perspective of both sides.

I don't like to make calls without being understanding of the entire situation.

That's just how I roll. I try to understand the situation from everyone's perspective.

How old will he be by the time he gets that chance? :-(

I thought Rances clearly won, 8-4 was my card. I thought that was very accurate.

He was watching close up, perhaps he awarded more on ring generalship in some rounds, defense in others, etc etc etc.

I can't explain it entirely because I wasn't ringside but he must have his reasons. He probably saw things that we didn't as tv spectators or whatnot.

I want to hear his POV before joining in this witch hunt that everyone seems to be in right now.

You can say that, but I'm a man who likes to be clear of the entire narrative.

Like I said before, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt especially for someone as astute and reputable as R.Hoyle.

He's been great judge and a great family man thus far.

If a fighter captures the narrative in each and every round, then a wide scorecard is possible.

That wasn't the case in this fight. In a lot of cases, it was pick-what-you-like. Barth landed cleaner, but Shafikov was the one initiating the action and dictating the tempo. It really depended on what caught your attention in that round.

Very true, and it's all subjective. .. which means one could score a fight 12/0 120/100
While another great judge can score the same exact fight even 12/12. 120/120.

I'd every round was very close and completely competitive. . The fact is that could happen and I'm the real world that's smg that both could have just as strong as case for his card as the other.

Thats why I think it'd beyond re****ed to not give the scores after 4 then 8 and then it's the real decision. .

They could just tell the corners so fighters know what's up and fight accordingly

And I suppose you also wanted to hear CJ Ross'POV before critisizing her for scoring FMM-Canelo a draw?

That was a clear HIGHWAY robbery and there was no point of view needing to be heard by anyone. There's a reason she quit after that fight.

That's a much different situation than this one.

You weren't ringside though, perhaps she had a unique angle or perspective we at home did not have? Maybe she quit for other reasons, who's to say?

I for one want to look at it from all angles before judging, and since time machines don't exist, we can't go back in time to watch the fight ringside, hence CJ Ross is off the hook.

Completely different situation, because she quit (Very likely due to the fact that she was forced to resign).

You really think some old hag would turn down a great paying job with good benefits like judging boxing if she didn't have to?

R.Hoyle has been very reputable and a great judge who has done it for years and years now.

C.J Ross was a thief, a corrupted thief. That's all she was.

Going through his boxrec, looks like he scored the Ponomarev-Agaton fight from a few weeks ago a draw while both his coworkers had Pono winning all but one round.

Idk why it's so hard for you to admit that he might of had an off day or missed this one. You seem really attached to this dude.

I never said that he didn't have an off day.

I just wanted to know what his point of view was in regards to this fight? Is that so wrong?

He's a professional and has been judging for decades.

I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt

    Let's see what he says.

    I want to know.

    I already said, I can't see 119-109, definitely not.

But maybe he saw something different that we didn't. He is a pro and he was ringside. So let's give him a chance to clear his name.

Fair enough, but I doubt he's asked about it or mentions it a all though.

Honestly it doesn't even matter, right guy probably won, I had RB up by only one round, but it doesn't make much of a difference since he was winning either way. We both basically agree anyways
