Has there been any recent chatter from Silva regarding a crossover fight with Jones? I know they've been playing footsie about such a meeting for years now, but I've mostly lost track of the Spider in the last few years since drifting away from MMA.

 

Y'all must've forgot, Kelly ain't the only still-living (if not active) Ghost in the game. I could have just as easily meant Khomitsky or Robert Guerrero, and it would still hold true.

Hell, even Chris "The Irish Ghost" Fitzpatrick would've stood a chance of doing better or at least no worse than Sigmon, especially considering he's 1-1 in their h2h rivalry!

Oh **** imagine Tarver outboxed a 300+lb Fury (for what many would argue is the lineal title), and then we got Jones vs. Tarver IV as potentially Roy's 2nd heavyweight title capture??

 

If he doesn't come back (or if he does, no more than 10½ months from now) Roy is going into Canastota on his first eligible ballot, heading the Class of 2024 along with very probably Manny Pacquiao, a year behind their rivals James Toney and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
