Old Bones for me,I dont think too much of Laguna.Brown had good boxing skills a kayo punch and ring savvy,Laguna was a showboat ,imo, there is a theory he retired early to avoid the up and coming Duran.

A showboat maybe, but also a damn good and very tough boxer.

    He had plenty of substance.

I know Im in the minority with this one, just my take on him ,he got an undertrained Ortiz at the right time, was taken to school in the return ,beaten by Buchanan twice ,though he uncharacteristically tried rough housing the Scotsman in the return,I think Qrtiz showed him in his true colours in their return fight, very fast hands good feet quick jab,but not for me,but then I find Monzon,an undeniable great ,boring,so what do I know? Dont answer that !

Old Bones was 6 years the one and only Champ and is forgotten. I seem to have missed all but one fight, and I don't remember against who....he wasn't very popular...Like say Fullmer,
