I really don't know about people running from Duran at lightweight to be honest, people think Dejesus ran for some reason, he hit Duran with shots that had substance in them, quite hard, and he had better mid-range ability than Laguna for me.

But yes of course Laguna could run from him, i just see Duran winning regardless.

Bizzaro got the life knocked out of him ultimately though, my fave ko ever by the way.

Another was Fernandez, but come on, it's all academic (here's the Duran fan in me!)

I know what you mean, but no.

We could always ask that maybe Duran would put in a more inspired performance against a fellow great in Laguna.

In all honesty though, it's possible, but i think Duran still wins for my earlier mentioned reasons in honesty.

elorde beat laguna by simple slugging it out ala roberto duran...if laguna can not survive elorde, how can he survive duran?
elorde-laguna was one of the forgotten great fight in boxing...bloody fight by two spirited boxers..that was the fight that literally broke down elorde. He was never the same after that fight. The same fight that roberto duran made elorde his boxing idol...you would wonder why would duran idolize elorde, a boxer who is known to his work from midrange, the elorde-laguna fight is the answer to that...
