Man.... this guy fought some big names! And he usually lost via UD.... Rudolf Kray - L UD David Haye - L UD Marco Huck - L UD Dawid Kostecki - L UD Tomasz Adamek - L UD Maccarienelli - L UD Wlodarczyk - TKO (Finnaly) 12 Im suprised that hes been in UD loses against those big guys listed above ^ only cept a TKO by Wlodarczyk... Does this guy take a beating and has a good chin? or all in all hes actually a descent boxer...but somehow manages to loose? Anyone have any info on this guy? Id like to hear it.... thx.
The Wlodarczyk fight he was actually winning it before getting dropped in the 12th and the ref waived it off immediatelly after the knockdown, although he was in bad shape he probably could have continued.
He does have a good chin, but I suspect Haye would have stopped him if he wanted to; Haye deliberately set out to go 12 rounds for the first time in his career so just used his left hand. He limited himself to 3 attempted right hands a round and din't sit down in between rounds, standing and talking to his trainers instead. Absolutely awful fight to watch, but Haye still took every round on all the cards.
Abdoul has fought the who is who at cruiser weight.Like Sergej Karanevich at light heavy,or Monte Berrett at heavy,he is a kind of gatekeeper for fighters who want to be called top fighters. Abdoul has never been stopped by ko in his entire career so far.He fights whoever is put in front of him and wherever he has to fight in order to earn his paycheck. The Belgian based teak tough Arab is a decent boxer, but lacks just a little bit in every department to be able to beat the real top dogs.
What would you say he lacks the most in of? And say if he had that thing he lacked, could he maybe beat one of the guys he lost to that I listed above? Ima going to try to find that fight. And probley the Adamek one, I havent seen that one :-(
Abdoul has a very good chin,a good stamina, decent skills, and the right attitude towards his job as well as the mental toughness to compete with a lot of better ranked rivals.Nevertheless he will never be a contender or fringe contender as he strongly lacks a telling punch. He is a very good gatekeeper, but no potential boxer who belongs among the upper echelon of his weight division.
I still can't believe why Haye did what he did. His reason doesn't make sense either. It's nuts. Still one bad fight in 20 is acceptable.
By the way it seems it was not a bad fight for Haye.... Ismail by the describition of things in this thread... seems a verry tough guy.
He's a countrymen of mine, unfortunately he's also tough outside the ring.He was already jailed and has another conviction coming up. As a fighter he is too defensive minded and it has cost him some close decisions.
Earmuff defense is what Abdoul brings to the table and nothing more. He seems like he's content with losing but not content with getting KO'd.
Yup!! He's fighting another Cuban that defected a while ago. Hernandez, he also competed in the Olympic games but lost to a russian. Not as good and promising as the other 3 cubans though, but very well schooled:yep
i'll back you up on this. he was renown for just puffing out after he...puffed out:huh (thats not right but okaydoodle) and just tried to box and to limit his movment....good post. becuase i think haye has the cruiseriweght power to ko anybody to be honest
