    Not sure never heard that but it's true statement on many levels.

    TFFP your right with regards to WBO. Only thing is Clev's the type to wanna fight better opposition and fancies his chances against guys who will beat him and beat him with ease like B-Hop. Not Sure Warren can do a Calzaghe with him and rack up defences.

    I think Cleverly's greatest strength in the ring, is his ability to be a man in their, he has good speed, a great engine, he's a good body puncher, can fight inside, has good mental fortitude, and seems to have a decent chin, but as his opponents get better, he's surely gonna need to develop his defense?

    Problem I see for Cleverly, is he's been fighting out of an aggressive style for so long, that if you tried to make him more of a Boxer, teach how to use his height, you would probably take some of his effectiveness away, and cause he's not use to fighting that way, the potential might be there for him to get caught MORE, some fighters seem safer defensively, when their close(Hatton), on your chest, that said, Cleverly is gonna have to do something, cause I question how long he will get by fighting the way does.

    I dont know to be honest, I haven't seen that much of him, I caught him on the Jones-Hopkins 2 undercard, and against Despaigne, and against his latest opponent, but I haven't really been concentrating on potential weaknesses, although I guess you might say, he could do with using a bit more head-movement?

    Have liked him since I thought TFFP and Ishy were taking the **** when they hyped him for big things :lol: I said summat along the lines of 'what sort of a name is that?'

    But his punching technique is smooth and he puts his shots together well, as well as having a consistent jab. Judah was a solid test.

    Ain't seen his fight with the Cuban though, how did that go down? And was that Despaigne any good, I hadn't seen any of him, a potential Lara or a potential Yan Barthelemy?

    I think so, thats a realistic improvement. If he's going to be that upright, which is fine, you gotta have something apart from a guard as a line of defence if you're not gonna be getting tagged too often.

    I honestly believe he'd beat Jean Pascal right now, and knock him out. I've said that for months.

    Ismayl Sillakh...would be way too active, way too consistent and way too imposing for Pascal. He'd be on that ass. Hop was hurtin him to the body and the head. I see Sillakh breaking him down as long as he comes through the bursts. Thats the fight I'd want for Sillakh, and maybe its now possible since he's coming off a L, (or really two L's).

    Agree.

    Would be an interesting fight imo, as I guess we haven't really seen him against someone who's could potentially move laterally on him to offset him, someone who's quick enough to get off first, that said, Pascal might find getting off first a little more difficult when they guy is sticking the jab on him.

    That would probably be an interesting fight, Sillakh seems the more skilled, Pascal possibly the more athletic, makes you think though, with Pascal's stamina, Sillakh's bodywork, might he take those legs away? I guess the jab, his bodywork, would be effective, then we just need to ask whether he could cut the ring down, keep his D intact if Pascal was able to use his speed to get off first?

    Man!, I wanna see that fight now :lol:

    Not great, is it? About 10 steps up from The Wanderer though :lol:

    I'm getting a bit frustrated with the lack of progress because I really think he can hang at the top end. Even the Despaigne fight was only a half step forward. It wasn't a real graduation, purely because...nobody knew Despaigne either. Except ESPN watchers.
