IsMayweather coming back good for boxing?

    I would like to ask all the fight fans on ESB what there view is about Mayweather coming out of retirement regardless of your personal view on him. There are 2 sides to this argument (more than 2 but 2 be black and white its a Yes/No answer) and I am sure that this has been discussed on ESB MANY TIMES!

    Do you think Floyd Mayweather coming back to the sport is better overall for the fans and the business? Would you rather he stayed retired and let boxing go on without him or are you glad he is back fighting? I'm sure alot of answers will sound something like "Yes because he claims to be the best" or "No because he doesnt fight the best. I just want to know if you would rather see him stay retired or if you would rather see him fight REGARDLESS OF YOUR VIEW ON HIM.

    THOUGHTS???

    I think its good for the fans and the sport. I do expect him to fight Pac and another top WW after Marquez and I would be dissapointed if he didn't fight a top WW if he beat both Marquez and Pac. With that all aside I think he helps the sport in 1 way or another with his attitude and how he creates controversy and drama.

    yes, why would't a fighter as skilled as him be anything but good for the sport?

    He showed a lot of respect to past opponents..See the Baldomir presser. Thanks for the response too.. Couldn't agree more with you..His voice and **** talkin can get stupid sometimes!!!

    As a fan, I'm glad he's returned....IMO I really hopes he fights Pacman and Cotto\Mosley. Those are the fights I really want to see.

    KI I think alot of people would say that Floyd's trash talking is bad for the sport ..alot of past fighters trashed talk and I think its good for boxing...some dont though! Co-sign on ur response!:good

    Marquez, Pac, Mosley/Cotto 2 winner and 1 more and I dont think anyone (even people who dont like Floyd) could call him a "ducker"

    Someone voted no, I wish I knew who that was (public poll perhaps next time ?)

    I voted yes, Mayweather boxing is better than Mayweather not boxing without question.

    Exactly, but then some guys will find another fighter and boost his name up and make him out to be this guy that Floyd is afraid of...It never fails homie.

    I would disagree about not coming back for the fans...Of course hes coming back for himself and nobody else..I still think he appreciates all his fans as shown from meeting him a few times and him takin a few minutes out to talk to me as a fan as well as other fans....Did SRL comeback for the fans?? A fighter fights for himself and thats not to say that he dont fight for the fans but I think Floyd fights for his fans as much as say Pavlik fights for his fans!

    Absolutely...the interest generated with the build up to Oscar fight has those outside the sport taking note when they likely would have not..

    Of course its good. Hell while he was retired there wasnt a single day on this broad that at least three threads wasnt started about him. ESPN has talked about him coming back alot and therefore Boxing is getting more air play in the mainstream sports media. Someone even posted a Video from the UK were they took about 20 mins to talk about floyd coming back.

    I know that the pac fans hate him coming back.

    i DOUBT FLOYD COULD GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT THE YOUTUBERS THINK..SO ITS OK FOR PAC 2 FIGHT OSCAR AND GET THE MULIT MILLION DOLLAR PAY DAY BUT IF FLOYD TAKES THE FIGHT AND PUTS 25 MILLION IN HIS BANK THAN ITS NOT OK??
