Haye-Wladimir has the potential to be a dull fight. Haye was very tentative against both Valuev and Harrison and one expects he would be just as tentative against Wladimir -- Wladimir has better foot speed, hand speed and power than Valuev or Harrison. Wladimir is a tentative fighter who sits behind a jab. Wladimir may even be scared to throw his jab against an explosive fighter like Haye. There is a good chance Haye-Wladimir is a very tentative fight with both fighters scared of the other and not really opening up and throwing punches. Alternatively Wladimir may be confident enough to throw his hurtful jab out consistently. Then either Haye gets jabbed to death in a boring fight or Haye gets past the jab and gets to Wlad given Wlad has a poor chin it could then be over quickly. I just dont see this fight being that action-packed. Vitali is not a tentative fighter. He has an iron chin and will not be afraid of Hayes power. Vitali also has excellent stamina. Haye has poor stamina. Vitali will want to set a fast pace in the fight and then pick off Haye in the later rounds so Vitali will attack from the opening bell. Vitali is slower than Wladimir and easier to hit so Haye has a better chance of getting past Vitalis jab and landing his big shots. But, because Vitali has a better chin than Wladimir, there is no way Haye KOs Vitali with one punch. It would have to be a sustained beating to stop Vitali, possibly on cuts. Vitali also has less power than Wladimir so it is less likely he KOs Haye early. This fight is likely to last longer and be more action-packed. Right now neither Vitali nor Haye have a fight signed. Vitali says he wants Haye. Haye promised to beat both brothers and clean up the division. What is stopping Vitali and Haye from signing a fight? The WBA or the WBC? Who cares what they say? Both organisations are supposed to prioritise unification bouts over mandatory defences anyway. If either the WBA or WBC wont do that, **** them.
Vitali looked like **** against Sosnowski, and even though he brutalized Briggs, that was to be expected. Wlad hasn't looked bad in a fight since his first fight with Sam Peter back in 05. So its been over 5 years and 10 fights since he has looked at all troubled. So even though for Vitali's sake an earlier fight the better(he's on the wrong side of 35 for Boxing, barring Hopkins), a bigger and better fight would be Wlad against Haye.
I sort of agree with you on that but but with Haye I think Vitali would be the bigger threat to Haye. HAYE IS NOT SLICK OR ELUSIVE WITH DEFENSE AT ALL AND THERE'S NO POSSIBLE WAY HAYE CAN STAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING AND BOX WITH VITALIi.THIS IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY POSSIBLE.
it's not about that. wlad-haye was made with haye bending backwards to all wlads demands the wlad pulls this crap. wlad made the video belittling haye and how its so personal then basically screws all of us. wlad fights chisora which means haye has to either fight chagaev or be stripped of the title or fight vitalli who is lowballing solis to fight haye instead. If wlad fights chisora, haye wlad cannot be made for july 2 which they agreed. wlad has to fight his own battles instead of getting big brother to step up instead.
Any clubbing shot from Vitali will be damaging to Haye. Vitali will hold Haye's shots. If he can take blows from Herbie Hide, Lennox Lewis and Corrie Sanders then Haye's Cruiserweight power should be inadequate. Haye has no chance, unless Vitali injures his arm or something.
i agree this is a better fight, wlad and haye both too hesitant, vitali looks to fight, i say vitali wins by ko in 10. meanwhile i think adamek-wlad a good matchup too and hope my brain is wrong when i say wlad ko in 8 though im hoping adamek somehow pulls it out. meanwhile the best matchup i think instead is haye-adamek though i never heard haye mention his name til yesterday in passing
