Isn't it funny when GGG opponents try to downplay his power?

I think he expected a lot more raw power, GGG wasn't even able to knock him down. GGG's power is obviously elite, but I don't think he has that Adonis Stevenson one punch knock out power. Even when he lands massive shots like a left hook against Monroe, Monroe still got up.

It's funny because Golovkin doesn't have huge destructive power where he'll knock everybody out with one or two punches but instead has power that makes his opponents feel the pain and suffer yet not enough to go completely unconscious. When his opponents get saved by the referee or the corner they laugh trying to save face saying he isn't that scary after all even if they get put near death.

 

Same thing happens to CEJ except one of his opponents did die

 

Agreed his only 1 punch bomb was the Japanese fighter and Macklin but that was to the body

Most were stopped in the corner or by the ref. I think he has 1 shot power to change a fight like how he dropped Steven's early and rocked brook as early as round 1

I will say most fight merely to survive so it's tougher to catch a guy with one bomb but when he goads guys to trade like Geale and Monroe he had this uncanny ability to catch guys badly even while getting hit

Stevenson is more athletic and has such a fast left most just don't see it
