Isn't it ironic that Wladimir was supposed to be "fed" to Peter?

Peter was a sizable favorite in their first fight.

Going for being seen as a potential stepping stone to one of the most dominant boxers the HW division has seen -- that's what I call a champion.

Wlad never quit, even when his own brother told him too

Did Vitali tell Wlad to quit?

Wlad definitely took his diaper off against Peter. He persevered in the face of defeat.

Vitali just wishes everybody was a glasshearted bully like him.

The fight was promoted and known to be a 50/50 fight with most fans picking Peter based on his power. I think the odds were pretty close even though favoring Peter, can't remember well.

Wladimir proved a lot of fans wrong and fans as usual refuse to admit Wladimir was totally overlooked by MANY going into this fight.

Almost KO'd Peter in the 12th, would have been epic.

    Attending that fight was amazing.

It was an awesome event especially when the undercard had Cotto vs Torres, a FOTY candidate right there.

Peter almost TKO'd Wladimir in the 10th as well.

Wasn't it on Boxing After Dark? Definitely a great card. Would've easily been worth a PPV cost based solely on how good the two fights were.

It's fun looking back and seeing Wlad and Cotto on a BAD card, and in under 3 years have grown into huge PPV stars.
