I agree. Considering how selective Ward, has been and the fact that he won't even leave Oakland I have my doubts if he would move up the light heavyweight to fight the Russian.

Me to but Ward a guy that fought in the amateurs at the same weight as sergey (175) won't move up knowing sergey can't make 168 :deal

That leaves Bernard and Stevenson the two next best names :deal

Bernard needs to stop talking shite then.

Regardless of age if he is in the ring , plain and simple.

Fighters talk sh1t it's what some do to amp themselves up and sell fights .
I'm a boxing fan before being a fanboy of anybody.
Ward vs kovalev is a much better fight . Fans should be pushing for that one. Who wants to see a guy 15 years past his prime fight their favourite fighter. It's embarrassing nuthuggery

Regardless of age he has 2 out of the belts at the weight and is pretty clearly at least top 3 at the weight. If granddad wants to keep fighting and calling himself champ he needs to fight the best in the division. Fight could go either way but I would be picking kovalev

Not saying he is ducking anyone, he fought dawson knowing full well he could not win. That being said it is a good fight and making fun a fans who want to see it is not the answer. If anything we should be boycotting and **** talking the networks depriving us of good fights.
