i mean, i just dnt think this is gonna be worthy for the hype surrounding this fight of him goin to jail and also the was it better or close to a pacman fight. so who would be better then Guerrero? Bradley: has a lil bigger name and is undefeated Cotto: good fight! PERIOD! sergio: tho i think this is second. i jus dnt like the weight difference. its an unfair fight for money. if he wins he excells if he looses its unfair cause he's out of his weight class even at a catch weight. canelo: dnt think he deserves it an he's too young an green so if he beats him its cause he's supposed to beat him.
Bradley - Not happening. A Top Rank fighter. Cotto - Difficult to make happen, if he's looking to renew with Arum. Martinez - Tied to a March date with Macklin. Floyd has very few options. I think Canelo would be his best choice, but Golden Boy may not be willing to give him up. They'd much rather let Guerrero be feasted on.
I am not happy with the thought of Guerrero fight, and I don't support it. I realize the whole mexican thing, so the choices are limited to Mexicans I guess. I would rather see Moralas or Canelo. Cotto is the fight that should be made, but politics as usual there. Bob Arum doesn't want ANY of his fighters in the ring with Mayweather, it's sad.
Mike Jones, Kell Brook, Vyacheslav Senchenko, Devon Alexander, Marcos Maidana would all be way better, and I think the more appreciated by Mexican fans celebrating. Seriously he could go straight after Amir Khan right now if he wanted and that would be a huge fight. Khan coming off a lost and not looking like he'll get an immediate rematch might be cheaper for Floyd anyways.
i think if martinez was offered the fight by floyd his date with macklin would certainly disappear. but he's a high risk loow reward option- few casual fans know who he is- so i doubt it would happen
Nobody would pay to see bradley and Cotto is not mexican so it kinda doesnt make sense for him to fight on 5inco de mayo. I agree there are some better options but the fact that Pac opted out and Canelo being to green it makes Guerrero seem like an ok fight. the only credible fighter I would rather see fight Floyd is Martinez.
Agree, this can only boost up Guerreros ratings its a win win for him. I dont judge Canelo for not taking this fight since hes Vargas green at this point to fight Floyd.
Morales, Marquez, Berto, Ortiz = Terrible fights Chavez Jr = Too big (He looks big in MWD, let alone against WW) Bradley = Top rank. Martinez, Cotto, Alvarez = Maybe.
He could rematch with Ortiz or fight Berto should Berto win in a couple of weeks. At least then he would be fighting somebody his own size. I think a rematch with Ortiz would sell and Berto is obviously physically a bigger fighter than Guerrero. Americans would love to see him knock out Khan (even I would root for May in that one). Fighting a man from two weight divisions down is just a farce and Mayweather has already walked down that road. I didn't buy the farce against JMM, I won't buy this one.

So actually, he probably would be a better choice than Guerrero. And throw in Gamboa and Donaire while we're at it. Edit: bolded the names of Golden Boy fighters.
I don't like Cotto option. Floyd will be on lose 2 lose situation since Cotto got beat up by Pac. He will no longer claim that Pac fight his left over.............
