I really wish this fight wouldn't happen. Neither of them are in their prime anymore and at this point they're just going to do permanent damage to themselves. Their first three fights are classics anyways, there's no need for this. General feelings on the matter?
I think Marquez has a lot more left in the tank in fact,I think hes still got what it takes to be PFP top 10 guy again. Vasquez I think has slipped a lot he had a pretty tough time recently with a journeyman. Their was never much seperating the 2 as they were both pretty much each others equal all though Vaquez leads this 2-1 Marquez will tie up this series. I think Marquez stops him and it wont be as close as the other ones,but i stiill think it will be a helluva fight. THese guys could be 60 and still put on a war.
I think Marquez will fight a lot smarter and KO Vasquez late. Vasquez doesn't have much left after an amazing and exciting career. Hell I could be wrong though, maybe he cracks Marquez's chin again?
Marquez looked pretty **** in his comeback, though that is fair enough. I think both are going to be pretty ropey. I think if the fight happens it will be a bit depressing.
Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake Lamotta fought seven times...for less money I might add. This fight is happening in the Staples Center and each fighter will earn their largest paycheck to date.
It's boxing, not knitting. Izzy or Rafa could get just as hurt fighting someone else. The difference is, they wouldn't make as much money doing so, and it wouldn't be as compelling.
i don't see the need to have a fourth fight. i don't think boxing fans are still interested to see one more nor does it help both fighter's legacies...
