    Most realistic scenario. :yep

Rafa won't trade that much this time. He got too careless on the last fight and was hurt too early. Beristain is a very good tactician, I'm sure they'll make an adjustment.

I'm still torn between the two . . . cause I like both fighters.

I don't think so, they are a combined 79-8 with 64 of this wins by ko (& tko), of those 8 losses, all but 1 came as the result of a knockout. Vasquez lost 1 decision 8 years ago. In this fight it's gonna be knockout the other guy out or get knocked out yourself. I don't think Marquez can hang with Vasquez for 12 rounds, sooner or later Vasquez power will put Marquez on his butt once again. I think this trilogy will have taken alot out of both fighters, I doubt either will be the same.

I know both have powers and both have high KO percentage but knowing Beristain as good tactician, I'm sure he'll do something for Rafa to avoid that punch that repeatedly hurt and eventually put him down. He'll make it harder for Vasquez to pin down his ward. :yep

I pick Rafa on this one.

He will correct his mistakes from the rematch and come in well prepared to outbox Izzy, the KO will just come in naturally from the damage his is slowly dishing out.

    Another case of a fight where I can't pick a winner :D . . . I'm a fan of both.

I'll just say may the best man win. :yep

Beristain is good, but Vasquez is also now trained by Barrera's old trainer I think his name is Rudy Perez, it was a succesfull combination in the last fight.

Wrong, Marquez is starting to look like damaged goods, he has taken the most punnishment so far in the trilogy. Marquez probably will try to box smartly the first 2 rounds or so, then bam!:bbb Vasquez will land those bombs that already put Rafa down on his seat twice. Once Marquez goes down, all pretense of boxing will go out the window, as the Mexican in Marquez will come out (both fighters are from the D.F.), and they will slug it out. With the bigger and naturally stronger Vasquez gradually wearing Marquez down, setting up another referee stoppage probably around round 8 or so.:bbb

Oh yes . . . thanks for reminding me. I forgot that Vasquez didn't train with Roach anymore on that rematch.

i agree that marquez is still in his prime but nearing the end of it, maybe after this fight we'll see a decline in him, win or lose(lose probably). vasquez on the other hand has just entered his prime years, he'll hang around for about 2yrs at the very least. he'll be the one to go up to 126 and beat the s*** out of linares and luevano, include guerrero too

People forget that Izzy was mounting a big comeback in their first fight until he just couldnt breath anymore.

RAFA has slim chance on this one..

I really wanted to believe that Rafael was the next P4P #1, that he was the complete package...

His defense is utter ****, he is wide open to be hit.

However, I am rooting for him in the rubber match. He has the skills to win an UD if he is cautious.
