Israel Vazquez: 'I'm very interested in a Vic Darchinyan fight!'

    Why wouldn't he allow it? This is a bigtime match-up with huge money involved for these divisions. Vazquez is very insterested and even if it's an early blowout, Darchinyan will still have his undisputed SFlyW championship. It's a very good match-up for Showtime, a nice paycheck for Shaw, a winnable fight for Vazquez, a huge risk for Vic but he badly wants it, and win-win situation for the fans.

    Shaw is a POS I always doubt his ability as a promotor. He's the reason why Donaire-Vic rematch hasn't been made because of a grudge. BTW is Vasquez with Shaw? I thought he was with GBP.

    Vic's got a ****in pair on him if he takes this fight. I don't see how he can win this unless Marquez destroyed his jaw. Which could have happened.

    Darchinyan seems to have some real heart with all these fights he's taking and pursuing. My hat is off.

    No, Vazquez is with GBP and Sycuan, but Shaw only has hard feelings towards Donaire. Negotiations for a Vazquez-Darchinyan fight would be very short as it's one of the best possible match-ups Showtime could produce and certainly cheaper than the big guys. Donaire at this point has zero buzz around him, too bad his fight vs. Montiel fell off, that would've been a nice little war to set up the winner vs. Vic. But that never happened.

    Showtime, Darchinyan and Vazquez will all push for this fight, so I think there's an excellent chance to see it. But first things first, Vazquez' eye injury should heal before signing for any fight.

    I think Vazquez is over-rated.

    A Vazquez fight- you hit me, I hit you, you hit me, I hit you- until the fight is over. The guy just stands in front of his opponent and trades bombs. I have no doubt that other top PFP fighters would give him a boxing lesson. He don't even really seem to worry about defense, or try to box.

    He was with GBP and Sycuan a few years back Frank Espinosa got him away from GBP I have no idea why or what for but it hasnt hurt him.

    Two good names to have on a card, but Izzy is just too big and powerful for Vic. Poor lil ol' Darchinyan would be crushed... both should just stick to fighting the best fighters at their weight. vazquez against JuanMa, and Vic with Montiel and Donaire.

    He is tough guy no doubt. But he just stands and trades bombs, absolutely no defense at all. He is like a slightly bigger, and a little better Arce. He is a good little fighter, but I certainly don't think top 10 PFP in all of boxing like people are claiming. Vazquez is offended if you miss a punch.

    :verysad He ain't that easy to hit man. He has his defensive liabilities sure, but so does Darchinyan.. but neither guy is as easy to hit as say, Mayorga or Margarito. Plus, I've noticed an improvement in head monvement since hooking up with his new trainer as well as adding a bit of a jab and improved infighting. Two things which he didn't do much of before.

    Vazquez is an elite fighter. No doubt about that.
