Without doubt for me. Got the better of Marquez while they were both prime, got the better of Larios and a few other decent guys. That win over Gonzalez looks better by the day... EDIT: Added to the fact as elchivito says, he was ridiculously entertaining.
Yes. He and RM should get a special pass IMO. If they hadn't taken years off each others' careers both would have likely enjoyed more longevity with plenty more respectable scalps on their resumes.
Not a first ballot entrant, but he'll get in after that I reckon, going by what seems to be the current criteria. His title fight resume is pretty good, but it'll be his popularity and exciting fights that get him in there(all wrong reasons IMO) I like him very much but if I had to be really honest and apply my own thoughts on who belongs in the HOF,I'm not sure he'd get in.Even after watching a couple fights recently I enjoy more than admire his style. But he was good value, and that's a fair achievement in this day and age.
This hurts to say, Vazquez was one helluva fighter, who could forget the Marquez fights? But no, I dont believe he is of HOF caliber, But it isn't impossible.
