Around 1980 or 1981, I remember a British doctor stating that he believed Ali was suffering from early Parkinson's syndrome. He basd his conclusions on comparisons of Ali's (then) speech with recordings from the sixties.


Ali angrily denied the story and called the doctor a fool and a quack.

I remember being pissed off at the doc too.

A few years later...


Well...we know how it turned out.

 

Vitali rarely gets hit....................has no slurred speech at all, speaks five languages now................What would harm his brain? The air from missed punches?

 

How many punches did Vitali take in his career? Like 30? 28 of those 30 in the Lewis fight.

 

Vitali doesn't get Parkinsons.............he hands it out to others.

What serious doctor makes a diagnosis of a disease, especially in its supposed early stages, through television. Second, its very unprofessional to communicate these conclusions to the public rather then directly to the subject.

 

Media is all he had to come to the diagnosis so it's crap anyway.

Vitali's maybe fading, but he's not been hit by a single flush power shot since Sanders/2004, so VK'S brain condition has not, in any way, changed related to fights in the last 7 years. Unless he gets beat up through headgear in sparring which is even more unlikely.

He doesn't get hit.

 

I don't understand how he linked the Adamek performance to diagnosis.. but without going to details I got a bit worried when I saw Wlad/Vitali on BBC (morning show) after Haye fight.

Boxing is serious stuff.. Headgear in sparring shouldn't be optional.

Lets Get Honest... Vitali fights like he has Crowbar crammed on his ass and his foot look like charley horses He looks so uncoordinated and akward you could very well think he is at home stretch at Parkinsons disease..

Vatli do have a herky jerk movement to him while in the. I've personally always thought his movement in the ring looks doofy. At first I thought it was just rhythm that he lacks, but Parkinson's could be the alternative.
