About time Madrimov got his shot, this guy seems to have been treading water around the belt since his pro debut.

Madrimov should dominate him from bell to bell, hopefully he actually stops him, otherwise he'll get robbed blind. After all, Soro literally winning almost every round still wasn't enough.

Kurbanov largely lost against Michel Soro. Only judges in Russia gave the decision to Kurbanov. Terrible theft so I hope he loses, Madrimov beat Soro legitimately once.

Clearly.. For France it's a disaster we have more than one world champion Arsen Goulamirian.

Many French boxers have retired: Louis Toutin, Mathieu Bauderlique, Cedric Vitu... the succession promises to be very difficult.

I was wondering what happened to him. What prompted this decision?

Loss of self-confidence after his defeat against Ivanov which had a big impact on him. His brother Voldy Toutin, on the other hand, is on the rise.

That's ridiculous, if anything he should gain confidence. He lasted 9 rounds, with a fairly decent puncher who's clearly a quality fighter. It wasn't like some one round blowout against journeyman. That's a real pity, the kid had talent.:ohno

Madrimov is much more talented and he will get a stoppage.

Kurbanov needs home advantage to beat other guys, unlike Madrimov.

at least something is happening for Madrimov now. his career had been in purgatory thanks to a dozy timekeeper and an intentional headbutt.

Kurbanov has never really impressed me when I've seen him fight. He's beaten some good fighters but how many of the best ones did he deserve to beat?

Madrimov is talented and he carries a serious whack on him but he's quite small for the weight and he'd be fighting down at 147 if he was from across the pond. His power is legit big power for 154 though.

    He will win

Yes I totally agree like Mathieu Bauderlique he had talent.
You know how to convince the French public, it's very hard, we criticize our athletes a lot in France.
