Unfortunately boxing has been so corrupt for the last 20 plus years that its popularity has declined precipitously in US and Canada. Boxing is thriving in Britain, Eastern Europe and Central Asia and in places like Mexico. But in English North America, there are more sporting options - NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB and even UFC such that boxing's corruption has perhaps permanently damaged its reach in US and Canada. Crawford would have been way more of a mainstream star in the 90's than he is now.

 

You know it’s a proper sporting event when you hear the American national anthem get Murdered.

 

Either get rid of the garbage concert and 3 unnecessary anthems, or start the card earlier, because the main event starting at almost 6am UK / 1am NY time is just ridiculous and easily avoidable.

I’m in goddamn Texas and it’s almost midnight. And the event started over 8 hours ago. This is absurd. Honestly, motivates me to just wait for the next day where I can watch it for free on DAZN and fast forward past the bs.
