Let's wait to see how Ortiz performs against Bohachuk first, it's not a given that he gets past him, and I say that as one of the biggest Ortiz fanboys on the site. But yeah, Madrimov definitely beats Ennis.

They landed almost the exact punches, fight was close but as the champ Madrimov should have gotten the nod. It’s not like Bud landed 120 and madrimov landed 70.

Not my point. I'm stating it is completely stupid to say one guy was more accurate, when he threw less punches. The only reason Madrimov's "accuracy" percentage was the same as Crawford's was because he didn't throw as many punches as Crawford.

Here's an interesting question..Of the many fighters from the forner Soviet Union who have been robbed or never got the rub of the green in close fights in the US how many times have the North American fighters they were robbed against or didn't get the rub of the green against been robbed against foreigners? Surely if there wasn't shady business at play they should have been robbed as much or half as much but have any of them ever been robbed against foreigners, let alone with said foreigners having a home ref and three home judges?

Not true at all. Accuracy tends to stay consistent regardless of number of punches thrown

Unable to offer a scorecard as i missed the first 4 rounds but agree Canelo would batter Crawford , if it's made Bud just openly admitted it's going to be made for the richs it brings .

Agreed. I hope Crawford makes that fight. Boxing and Ennis deserve a passing of the torch style matchup before Bud is too old.

Tough fight to score, but Bud deserves a ton of credit for this performance. Shawn Porter was acting like Bud was just having his way Madrimov at the midway point, that was a bit much as I thought it was very close throughout but I did think Bud was the better man on the night. He landed the more flashy shots and was really working the jab, Madrimov may have fought just a tad too cautious and may have gave away some rounds by not throwing enough punches in some of the closer rounds, but on the other hand Madrimov may have landed more of the harder shots. It was a very awkward start but it really did turn into a very entertaining match, and by the end both men were really opening up. Really enjoyed this event. Just an amazing show.

Free shots to a bigger and stronger fighter?

Were you drinking before and during the fight?

His inactivity was not his fault. Bud got inactive after covid lockdown, fighting once a year. He gets a pass for 2020, 2021 - last year of his TR deal, tried to fight Pacquiao in June but it fell through, got held up by TR until Porter was made mandatory. 2022 - PBC dragged out negotiations for Spence, changed dates 3 times, Bud fights Avanesyan to eliminate his inactivity problem. 2023 - locked under a rematch clause which Spence dragged out until the last minute.
