What the - I did sleep in longer than intended, but was relieved to see it was only 10am because Tim Boxeo's intel had the undercard starting at 11. That schedule is kind of like BoxRec - an indispensable resource but occasionally wildly inaccurate.

    Anyway thank you. :D

Average performance from Bek, horrid embarrassing effort from Ekimov. Awful match.

    80-71 Melikuziev

Bully Bek living up to his nickname, belting "the Classic" around the ring with unopposed right jab/left uppercut combos. Ekimov not carrying himself like someone that until three bouts ago was an 18-0 prospect. This would barely even count as being good work for a "professional loser" type journeyman, as those guys at least try avoiding...you know, getting whacked flush a lot.

Glad you showed up, I cede the RBR to you, and I'm off to bed. I'll avoid spoilers and catch the replay later, on DAZN, since I'm a subscriber. Good night.:sisi1

WTF is with this Russian ring announcer and his deeply affected accent? Like he is imitating a NYC cabbie he saw in a movie. Specifically one played by Joey Pants.

Bad take. Melikuziev is one of the few fighters to have dropped Rosado with body shots and this guy took all of them, it's not a surprise he lost all steam after that.

Melikuziev needs a soviet trainer. I'm not sure Joel Diaz is improving his technique at all and they don't even understand each other.

    6'11"...?
    108 kg's...?

Edit: I misheard the announcer, I think. So, it's still only one announcing error this evening.

Wtf do you mean 'bad take'? :dunno I tuned in halfway into the bout and stated that in my opinion (for whatever reason, and not having seen the first half for any establishing context) Ekimov looked horrible, and wasn't fighting like someone that wanted to still be a prospect.

What you then offered as proof of my 'bad take' was an explanation for why Ekimov looked horrible and uninspired, not an invalidation of that obersvation.

    Bad post.

Dusmatov and Giyasov are probably the two featured fighters on hear that I think have the greatest potential for long term success in the pro ranks. Interested to see how quickly they move Hasanboy given that he started relatively late as a pro.

    IB Funfact:

Hasanboy Dusmatov is the last ever male boxer to receive a Val Barker trophy in the summer Olympics. (in 2016, before AIBA was ousted for corruption scandals)

    Round 1

Dusmatov is zeroing in on Rivas, quick and predatory, but with a controlled fluidity. Right jabs and torpedo lefts. Rivas soon overwhelmed, and dropped hard with a two-piece on the gob. Rivas is up and circling away in baby steps with his legs too close together, posture rigid, very wary of Dusmatov's body attack but uncertain where to place his arms since he was badly stung by those face shots, too. Dusmatov keeps drilling lefts into the belly, whether guarded or not.

    10-8 Dusmatov
