Look...I get it!!! Their fights were awesome, especially the last one. But can anyone tell me why they have continued to fight each other since 2007.
Has anyone (including Marquez and Vasquez) seen the ENORMOUS AND DEEP AMOUNT of talent from 122lbs-130lbs that has BUSTED onto the scene in the past 3 years. Here is a nice list of Top-Tier Talent:

    Chris John
    Celestino Caballero
    Juan Manuel Lopez
    Yoriorkis Gamboa
    Elio Rojas
    Rocky Juarez
    Fernando Beltran
    Guillermo Rigondeaux
    Wilson Vasquez Jr.
    Victor Fonseca
    Robert Guererro
    Eloy Perez
    Antonio Escalante

And yet, Vasquez and Marquez wants to continue to fight each other...DAMN!!! Would love to see Vasquez vs Gamboa or Juanma vs Marquez or Chris John Vs either of them. Or Imagine Caballero vs Marquez...That would be an AWESOME FIGHT!!!!

I know how you feel. I was a little annoyed by a fourpeat plan but it is what it is.

Yep. A chance for little men to make big money.

    It's a shame though.

    It is.

But I'd rather them know it's smart financially, do one more fight, make a couple bucks, then retire; VERSUS them just fighting nobodies and then getting ko'd by a Alfonso Gomez type.

  6. I can't fault either one of them. The fourpeat is old-school. They've earned more money with each fight against eachother and each fight has gotten better. I have a hard time understanding why anyone wouldn't wanna see them fight again.

And its also gotta be said that they are both toward the end of their careers... why would they risk getting KOd by one of these young bucks when they've carved a competitive, extremely fan friendly groove with eachother?

Their fights transcend their division... who gives a **** whats going on from 122-130? These guys aren't fighting for championships, their fighting for the fans.

I don't think any fans should criticize this bout. After giving us three incredible fights, I'm just happy to know that they will make good money again. Chances are, if they fight a younger guy, they get beat up for less money and they don't deserve to go out that way.

As a boxing fan, I'm honoured to see these men fight. It may be another 40 or 50 years until I see a trilogy like the past three fights. A true privilege.

They make the most money against each other. Plus Marquez wants to even the score.

its ashame that both Vazquez and Marquez are not paid in the millions for their efforts. The only reason why they were not... is because of their weight.

These guys fight for the fans, now its time for the fans to support them.

All those guys that you mention... can't offer Vazquez or Marquez the type of money they are getting.

Because its the way for both of them to make the most money without taking a beating from the young guns.
ITs pretty obvious from their last fights that they are shot so i dont see them beating the top guys.
