It’s good for boxing for Garcia to beat Tank

This is partly tongue in cheek to get the fans ready. But I’m really annoyed with tanks stipulations. I’m happy that Garcia was man enough to take the fight despite the unnecessary stipulations

My number 1 criteria for who I root for is who I think is most likely to chase fights against the best available opponent. Right now I think that's Garcia. Davis has had plenty of opportunity over the past 5 years to makes big fights and now his biggest fight of his career is against a guy who just graduated from prospect to contender with his last two fights and is 5 years younger.

My second criteria is how I feel about that particular division. Middleweight is very disappointing right now.

The only man whose wins are genuinely good for the entire sport of boxing is Zhilei Zhang who brings millions of new eyes on boxing every time he fights. Zhang becoming a world champion would potentially open up an untapped market of 1.4 billion people.

Tank-Ryan ultimately has no real bearing on boxing. Also, boxing fans have such short memories, you guys keep talking about how eager Ryan is to make big fights but conveniently forget about how he was WBC interim champ and mandatory for Haney, only to take over a year out of the sport and come back and fight the likes of Tagoe and old Fortuna instead.

True i don't think he liked that fight with Haney, he even talked about not fighting him in an interview when he had the chance.
