we don't know the exact cause. one theory is probabaly shane has been preparing for the berto fight since last year and it was cancelled. he also might be overtrained for this fight by peaking in january, resetting and then tried to peak once more at the end of april. of course floyd deserve's credit but it was too strange for mosley to gas out in just 4 rounds.

Mosley wasted energy. When things weren't going his way his mind seemed to panic. He was EXTREMELY twitchy and tense after round 2 whilst Floyd seemed to relax into it. That'll take a lot out of a fighter.

Feel free to disagree but that's just how I saw it.

The way i see it is that floyd was making him pay when he missed. Also i saw shane put a lot of effort to load up on a big shot as he would raise his right as if he was trying to shoot over floyd's jab but floyd wouldn't take the bait and continuing feinting and counters. mid rounds shane begins to looked beaten in the corner.

Well Shane always fights jittery. i think he was more nervous against floyd than anybody.

Again, some people know boxing and some people think they know boxing, to me what it looked like is shane was very nervous from the start he didnt for once relax the way we had seen him in previous fights and when you do that when your too excited you do gas out.....
when you allow those nerves to take over you never get a good rythem of breathing going which causes you to get winded quickly...

i know when i get tagged by a sharp punch in the gym that shook me it takes me a few seconds to recompose myself and is not that i am tired but scare/timid to lead and shane was getting tagged flush everytime he throws so he is prolly having a lot of those moments.

Shane didn't gas you dumbasses. And even if he did, so what? Mayweather still took his ass to school and that's all that matters. Oh and *******s get ready for your man to get knocked out... again.

Get ****ing real. Shane was breathing like he just went 15. I was sitting in a room full of boxing trainers, managers, and boxers and we all noticed it since more than visible how gassed Mosley was seconds after the second punch he landed that hurt Mayweather. He got old over nite period. It ****ing happens. Its not a mystery.

Shane gassed after round 2. Anyone who watched the fight could see this. On top of being tired, he was scared to let his hands go because Floyd's speed was giving him problems

    Glad this was stated.

Exactly right. Its so shallow minded to say the opponent was a the reason why he looked lackluster, instead of giving credit where credit is due..........the winner's offense MADE the opponent look lackluster.

The FLoyd fight is but another example of many, many fights where people take due credit from the stellar performance of the winner and shrug it off by saying the opponent, in this case, Shane Mosley, was lacking (fill in the blank, with anything from skill, to conditioning, to desire to win, to etc, etc).........:-(

That never fails to amaze me.
