It baffles me why British fans dont support Amir Khan and the hate in general

Yes Britain only likes white, Christian boxers like Eubank, Bruno, Benn, Hamed etc.

Most british fans underlying image of Khan is getting KTFO by Prescott. That KO badly damaged his star potential.

Also his out of ring antics have also not endeared him to the British public. He comes over as a spoilt brat who instead of dedicating himself to his boxing from the beginning lived the life of an out of control celebrity with his numerous traffic violations the worst being caught speeding, going through a red light and knocking over some poor pedestrian.

At least he seems to have dedicated himself to his boxing, based himself in the states and finally got a decent trainer, so there is still a chance he can turn it around.

Khan is very arrogant, however to date he's been backing it up.

His choice to fight mccloskey over prescott still baffles me.

The fact he was well interested in fight bradley and it was timbo who pulled the plug is also very impressive.

But the main reason he lost fans was his outburst to the media, saying how he should be getting more love and he's doing us a favour by fighting over here and how he's now too good and we've seen the last of him for the forseeable future.

Me personally, I like khan and would love to see him overcome a strategy such as what judah will bring. In them first 4 rounds we should see quite a chess match.

I really wanna see him avenge prescott. Not so interested in the fight with morales unless he scores a meaningful interim victory.

But all in all khan has a good style, he's chasing the big fights and there's no good reason for anyone to hate on him.

Well its the truth. Although I'd pick Hatton to work over the Khan as of right now.

Taking on all challengers...who are willing to take peanuts to face him (so not Prescott, Peterson etc). He does do charity work...but he also coimmits crimes (he's been done for speeding iirc). Haye and DeGale are also deserving of their hate.

Some spectacular fights? I remember 1 (Maidana, who is fun to watch doing anything anyway), and I think I've seen all but 1 of his fights.

I don't see where Khan "talks so much". He fights abroad, he fights decent opposition, tried to make Bradley happen, fought Maidana. People still seem to give him **** for the KO loss but heck this is boxing. Losses are part of the game. The question is how you deal with them.

Not sure what people want from him.

Ok lets look at fighting abroad...really think thats the way to please BRITISH fans? Make them pay £15 a pop and fight at 2 am?...If he wants better support from BRITISH fans fight the top guys in BRITAIN where they can watch him at prime time. The Bradley fight seems to be off until Bradley sheds Shaw so can't argue there.

The Maidana fight always felt like he was forced into the bout rather than chose it, people will give him **** for saying "I choose to fight the best, I chose to face Maidana" when he was a mandatory challenger.

No one really cares about the loss, though he should have tried to right the wrong, which he hasn't.

He offered somewhere around 400k to 'make the fight happen' against Bradley.

Doesnt give Prescott a rematch , and fights McCloskey.

    Then calls out Mayweather.

It just doesnt sit well with people.

Khan is one of those boxers who can't do anything right in some people's eyes.

Because they section themselves off and stick to their own.
They are very tribal and would fight for ****stan instead of england should a war ever break out and that's the bottom line and people don't like it.

An american asian seems to be american first and wherever they are descended from second but over here they are british /english 10th.

I don't even feel like khan is british he's ****stani.

who said i dont like khan? he might not be my favorite fighter but he's good

he fights around the divisions where my favorite fighters reside.... judah, cotto, mosley, rios, robert guerrero. tim bradley.

plus i'm not a big fan of his fighting style.
