Same skillset and power as Mikey. Already a champion at a young age. Exciting fun style. Good/great fundamentals. Likable all around dude who does his talking in the ring.

He said he wanted to put on a show tonight so I got him KO8 MM, what about y'all? Also Valdez is best 126er right now IMO

I don't believe he's quite as good as Mikey but he is still a top fighter and one of my favourites today.
He puts a lot of energy into his power punches, makes you wonder about his gas tank along the stretch. I get the impression that he almost hard-slaps more often than he lands a punch properly.

I really want to watch Valdez vs Russell Jr.

Nah man them left hooks are real, look at the instant damage they cause. He has some of the meanest whip on his left hook in the game. P4p talent.

Such a great talent, he'll be hated on here soon enough. He's too good for many here to accept. Once he starts proving it he'll be nothing but a hype job on this forum

Since his first fight on TruTv he's been proving it. BATB was announcing that fight, and said the same thing abt his left hook. He also steals his right hand and ducks to safety with beauty. TBH I don't think he's been tested, I think he can tighten up his high guard......but when he takes 1 to land 1 and his 1 is a re-calibrating punch, I can take that.

    Valdez part of the future.

Yeah his left hooks are real but sometimes he does have the tendency to not connect his power punches properly.

Yea sometime he rushes em and doesn't turn his hand over or follow through with his weight, you're correct. It's weird though the punch he super slumped Gradovich with he didn't follow through with completely if my memory serves me.

He definitely doesn't fits in the same power category as Garcia.
Garcia has perfect punching attributes, power, speed, accuracy, technique and timing, he hits you flush and you are out.
I'm a big fan of Valdez tho, his dedication is crazy (he's in the gym at 10 pm) and he is a good body puncher with speed and heavy hands but i think he lacks the explosiveness to score highlight reel ko's, he's more of a walks you down boxer, classic mexican.

I'd love to see his fight tonight but def not paying no PPV to see it. Plus his opponent is nothing to write home about.

Lots of good fights for him if Arum is willing to work with Haymon.
Fights against Selby,Mares,Frampton, LSC or Russell would all be great fights

Marriaga will be his first real test. Valdez isn't the best featherweight while Russell Jr. is still at the weight class. I'd take Valdez over Frampton, and LSC though. Frampton wouldn't beat Marriaga. Not sure LSC would either. Either way looking forward to the fight tonight. Marriaga vs Valdez is a great match up.

Valdez is a bad man, I first saw him two fights before his title shot and I was hooked. I don't think that he has the skillset of Mikey but give him time. I really want to see him tangle with Gary Russel. I will pay for that.

I want to see Valdez try to regain some pride and rematch john Joe Nevin , if Valdez is as good as many suggest he might have a chance and not get the **** slapped out of him again

I take it that you don't like the man, that's your choice, but I like him and that's my choice.
