i would actually prefer Roy Jones ring IQ over B Hops right IQ..... are you 4 real?....Roy handles bizzness with his fists, not by wrestling & fouling like B hop.

...RJJ = lead left hooks, triple left hooks....straight rights, uppercuts, great body punching......who has the better offensive arsenal, B Hop or Roy?

are you telling me that if they stand in the middle of the ring and let there hands go that Calzaghe will get the best of those exchanges?

Also who is the more accurate puncher? The more powerful puncher?

I could actually see Roy maybe catching JC with some crazy fast unseen punch at one time or another in the fight and stunning JC, maybe a knockdown... but JC will still win most of the rounds... trust me.

Joe will come to Roy while he lays on the ropes and counters Joe with POWER shots instead of slapping combos. Roy's power shots will be in the form of combos and not one punch and your done. Roy also has a jab and a left hook that will land. Joe has not shown any power to make anyone respect him at light heavy.

Unless anyone can KO Joe he will simply slap them to points victory; that is fact. Particular old man shot Jones. Myself I dont like it, but thats just he way it is, slaps score points. Joe will still out work any of the older guys and slap them twice as much as they punch. Joe's chin is fine and can take the cleanshots in between.

The same shots that couldn't stop an old fat semi-retired Tito, who was chinny at 147 in his prime:rofl :rofl

Wow, I can't believe people still haven't realized that Jones is completely shot

Tito is a shot former welterweight coming off a 2 year layoff who has a worse chin than Calzaghe and Jones couldn't even come close stopping him and he hit him clean plenty of times

Even then Tito was able to take rounds off of Jones just by pressing forward.

Calzaghe is fading but he's nowhere near as shot as Tito, or Jones.

He basically had a shut out against Felix Trinidad had him down twice..and had a serious bicep injury coming into the fight.

"Remember he had to come down to 170..thats a big ask for a 39 year old Roy Jones"

Roy Jones is a better fighter than Joe Calzaghe who was exposed by Bernard Hopkins..workrate saved him in that fight.

    Lets make the bet..

I will bet my membership on eastside..that Roy Jones knocks out Joe Calzaghe.

You would favors ROYS intelligance over HOPKINS??????

I dont know man i gotta go and i just cant be discussing this with someone who wont look at reality.

What is jones defence? shelling up, or falling to the ropes,

Hopkins dirty boxes on the inside, can box from the outside, uses beautiful footwork to KEEP him from getting cornered MOST of the time. He turns opponents, and can win a fight in many differant ways, and is defensively LEAGUES ahead of roy.

In your mind... punching is everything, in REALITY... movement, footwork, defense, ring generalship, adaptability, go ALONG with punching to make a fighter.

to answer your question.... Roy has a better offense then Bhop WHEN HE HAS AN OPPONENT HE CAN USE IT ON. Problem for him is JC isnt an opponent where he will be able to showcase his offense, so in THAT regard, Hopkins to me has a more EFFECTIVE offense, because it can be relevant in any fight against any fighter....

i gotta go.... but let me tell you something man,

Kessler at this stage was a more offensively dangerous fight then RJJ will be, because Kessler wasnt afraid, came forward, and opened up on JC.

Roy will be his reluctant, cautious self...

This isnt a old, overweight trinidad....

This is the dumbest argument I've ever seen

How did Tarver look against Hopkins? How did Jones look against Tarver?
