It is 1985, you have an unlimited budget, what is your dreamcard for fights that could in theory happen, but did not, in that year?

    Here is mine:

    Zapata/Chitalada

    Fenech/Galaxy

    McGuigan/Nelson

    Hearns/McCallum

    Holmes/Thomas

I wanted to see Hearns--Mugabi when the beast couldn't get his title shot for that long period at 154 despite the #1 ranking. Not exactly the greatest job of spot picking opponents when your management has you move up a division and take on a guy like Hagler for your title opportunity instead. But it would've been an alltime gunslingers type bout for the 2/3 rounds it lasted. Kind of like a Zarate/Zamora bout for the fans but the corner sure has a big rebuilding job for the loser.

Cooney/Bruno. 1 guy moving up and the other guy seemingly stuck in nuetral. Probably could've sold a ton of seats at Wembley for this one & I don't think Cooney is/was the type to be the road warrior type guy.

I thought McGuigan was never a guy that was going to last that long as champ. Nelson would've been a very tough matchup especially if you make Barry travel.
