8 days from now, they will both be champions. The only thing that seems capable of stopping that is if Vitali gets injured during his beatdown of Sam Peter. It could happen. He tore a rotator cuff smacking Chris "Tweety" Byrd around the ring, so you never know.

Yes, if Peter is the only thing standing in the way, they have got it in the bag.

    :good

I think the next feat will be if they can get that last title, thereby placing all four titles in their possession. While Vitali lately has only mentioned their quest to each have a title at the same time, I think their complete goal is to have all four titles between them, as I've heard him say in the past more than once. If Vitali destorys Peter, my opinion is that he'll then try to get that last title to make the complete goal fulfilled; all four titles in the heavyweight division held by a Klitschko. He'll be full of confidence after beating Peter, and will see one more title as not that big a feat, given how lesser than Valuev and/or Chag are, when compared to him.

And the biggest hurdle of that won't be beating whomever holds the title, It'll be dealing with the promoter and getting the fight made, and with a fair deal.

If Vitali does beat Peter, and they then have three of the four titles between them, I think we'll see them on Jay Leno, Conan O' Brien, CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, etc, together.

And then you know the big question will be if the last titleholder will face one of them. Preferrably Vitali.

    Yup, should happen.

Then Vitali will retire without defending. He just wants it for this trivia point, then it'll be Peter vs someone for the vacant belt and we're back to square one again.

^I sure hope this doesn't happen, I'd like to see Vitali chop down Valuev and take the WBA title away. Has Vitali mentioned career plans after this fight?

    Perhaps you missed Leanard-Haglar?

Or forgot the part where Ali avenged that defeat twice and won two more championships?

    Goerge Foreman?

No doubt, if Vitali is in shape, Peter will have no chance at all...sadly Vitali announced a while ago that this is his last fight.

Actually, Vitali said that he would not make a comment on any future fights until after he wins this fight. He is concentrating on Peter and nobody else.

I just saw some recent video of Vitali training, he looks like he is is excellent shape, his time appears to be there, balance better than ever. I think he has finally healed up. I sure hope so. If he wins, and I think he will, he will probably fight Gomez, the mandatory.
