I find it interesting that fans are so divided between Many Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are so divided into extremes that one can't be seen to be supporting both. It is either you are for Manny and by definition hate Floyd and the other way round. I like them both and think the loser will still be a great boxer when the whole body of work is considered.
The vast majority of people who think like yourself just can't be bothered with the wasted effort of posting in one of the mongfests that is an ESB general forum thread on the subject.
I want Mayweather to win, but I respect Pacs ability enough to know that it'll be a very close fight and that he is Floyds strongest opponent. I also have no problem admitting Pacquiao is very exciting to watch and im a fan.
I rarely get heavily involved as a fan of the fighters rather than the fight. I just want good fights. Where this one is concerned, I prefer Manny's style but fully expect Mayweather to triumph. If i'm proven wrong I'll be quite happy, but Manny getting beat won't distress me. The last time I really, really rooted for a given fighter was for Hopkins over Pavlik.
