It is laughable when Bute fans tries to discredit Andre Ward.

Ward is beatable. His chin is suspect and his skills degrade in the later rounds. Yeah Ward was beating Kessler narrowly, but had the fight progressed with Kessler not sustaining the injuries he did, he'd have likely caught and stopped Ward.:deal

 

IM trying not to, but it's so damned hard knowing that Bute is a better boxer than Ward, a SP, and a more powerful and even faster in some ways than Ward. And his chin is more sturdy too.

i'm not a ward fan per se, nor Bute in name , but I admire Ward's incredible skill level and Bute's consistency.


Then again I dont think I am a single man fan at all. I tend to admire fighters who dont duck, fight the best and dont arse around for years, so you would probably call me a Froch fan, that cap fits best. Dont really admire Froch's style though lol.

Speaking from acorss the pond again, Ricky Hatton got my thumbs up for just being so honest about getting on with the job.

That Bute's fans (and other boxer's fans) are disappointed by Ward since the S6? Well you should be. I'm sure at your job, when you get the job done 2-3 times, you cant let you sleep on the job the 2-3 next jobs, dont you?

Most Bute's fans were asking for Bute to step up. Most Bute's fans were saying he will when the S6 ended. Most boxing fans critize Bute for his competition. What people were saying was: "The S6 is the best fighting the best" and such. And since Bute were not part of it, he didnt fight the best, right?

Well now it is finish, why is it that we (we, meaning all boxing fans) cant ask for the best fighting the best? Why is that boxing fans are trying to find way to tell anyone else that an unification fight between the no 1 and no2 fighter of a division is not good?

I dont think you can answer that. If your only answer is Bute's fans should not critize Ward. Well, your not a a Bute's fans, are you happy with what Ward is doing?

 

First of all, i am a fan of Bute, a balanced one; most of us do not argue Ward accomplishments and recognize him as no. 1 in the division, most accept he's highly skilled.
But there are some fact that must be said:
1) as long as Bute is still around, Ward is not the undisputed SMW champ
2) Kessler was a great win to start with, but Froch only became a proven SMW after fighting in the tourney; before the super6 the Ring Magazine was waiting for a Bute-Kessler clash to give their belt to. Pascal was a good win and it became a great win after he got up in weight. Future events alter old history (if somehow Bute beats both Froch and Ward you will see a lot of people claiming Kessler has ducked Bute)

I don't agree with the attacks on Ward but if you followed his statements, then you'll see there are certain reasons for Bute's fans to become annoyed.
Let's see first how Bute-Froch plays out and lets follow Ward statements afterwards.

 

I'm not agree with certain things at Ward !

1- Why he didn't fight in Denmark for Kessler's WBA strap since Kessler was No 1 / WBA champ and the biggest draw at smw at that time ?
2- Why he don't take his WBC mandatory challenger i.e Anthony Dirrell ?


Otherwise is a great skilled fighter.

 

Bute is stepping up now... He is fighting Froch in Nothingham... This fight will determine if Ward - Bute is the best fighting the best...

We agree on that. And for the record, for now, I like the next Bute's fight. People talks more about a supposed or wish or virtual Ward vs Bute fight than the real fight going on between Bute and Froch.

The views of Ward are what separate good Bute fan posters (mjk for example) from the absolute trolls (sidious and his countless alts). Conversely, the view Ward fans take on Bute does the same; the term "glass jawed fraud" isn't warranted.

I just figure most of the overboard Bute fans are either new to the sport or such fanboys that their opinions are too biased to be credible.

Anyway, I haven't seen many Bute fans trying to discredit Ward. Usually this comes up in the context of people saying Ward should fight Bute next. But that's not necessarily because Bute needs the shot, it's because it's the best fight available. And frankly, Ward doesn't seem to want any part of that fight anyway.
