"The doctor, Paul Wallace, is now defending himself. According to Wallace, Cintron was asked twice if he was able to continue and both times he replied "no." Wallace said he would have allowed the fight to restart if Cintron had indicated that he was capable of continuing.

"I did say I wanted the fight stopped because the fighter twice said he could not continue He was asked, 'Can you continue?' and he said 'no.' Twice. If he had mentioned to me something like, 'Give me a moment ... ,' I understand; these are warriors. Any hint that he still wanted to participate we would've given that to him. We would have got him up and given him a second evaluation," Wallace told The LA Times.

Once Wallace called the fight, he claims Cintron changed his mind and wanted the fight to continue."

So there it is for everyone that tried to deny that Cintron quit like a little ***** once the pressure got turned up. He laid on the ground and told the doctor not once, but twice that he couldn't continue, from what injury? The world will never know, then the coward goes to reporters crying about the doctors stopped him and that he was winning, what a disgraceful piece of ****.

Would anyone be shocked if this is true?

Actually, I would be. As much as he's earned the nickname Puto, he only took 1 big punch before diving/jumping/falling and he didn't land hard. If this is true, this really is a new low for him.

Kermit felt two big left hands from Paul which also buckled him, and must have been shocked when he caught Paul, but Paul kept on coming.

Look, if you are a total ****ing ******, I can understand why you'd think Cintron was legitimately hurt, but let's review the facts:

    1) Cintron has NUMEROUS incidents of bitching out in his past fights and has proven to be emotionally unstable, to say the least

    2) When he went out of the ropes and landed on the table, he grabbed the back of his head like he had hurt his head. Then later he is quoted as saying he didn't feel any pain in his head at all, but rather the wind got knocked out of him.

    3) Even if it was a case of the wind getting knocked out him, why the **** would he lay like a corpse in the same spot, unmoving? I'm sure we've all had the wind knocked out of us at one point or another -- you don't just lay there, you're writhing around trying to catch a bit of breath to the best of your ability, to get a spot comfortable where you can breathe.

Face it, this guy is ****ing sham and the doctors comments do nothing but corroborate that. I hope he never is given another payday in his life.

Imagine if paul lost on the cards, hope they dont change it to a NC.
PW deserves a win if someone quits that way.

I don't I've seen anyone say that they thought Cintron was legitimately hurt:think

The only debates I've seen is if he intentionally jumped.

But of all of his fragile moments...none of them would compare to how low this would be.

I think there is a distinct possibility cintron had weighed this into consideration, given his trainer had just told him he was up on the cards, and may he knew it would go to the cards before 4 rds in Cali, so he thought "**** it, I'm going to dive out because I'm probably ahead on the cards and will get the decision"

This is about as patheric as when Rahman tried to quit in his fight against Toney and when Zab tried to "quit" while ahead of Clottey, but atleast they didn't jump out the ring.

He's always looking for ways out of a fight so if this is true it really wouldn't surprise me in the least.
